We haven't banned the Islamic veil :colbert:
Isn't Hezzy a community support officer lol

nah I think he's a special constable
Yeah, specials are the same as regular officers, just they don't get paid and there are a few minor things that don't really get in the way of them doing their job, unlike CSO's who are actually completely useless.

Neither has America.

Yet.
This is why I like Nick Clegg.
i forgot it was opposite day where liberal doesn't mean more free
Liberal stopped meaning "free" in the 1960s. Now it means have the government control everything and trust that they'll be nice about it.
I highly doubt it.
If he means Britain will be a more "Completely and utterly conservative" nation because the coalition has failed and the Tories are going it alone, then possibly.
That or back to Labour because people are already sick of Cam the Cutter.
Neither has America.
I meant France was a more right wing Western European country than Britain.
You can always really on the Conservatives to change things. :downs:
You can't mock the conservatives. They're the ones who always come in to mop up after the mess labour leave. They are doing everything right to get us out the shit that Labour left behind but because of the higher taxes and spending cuts they will get a negative image and people will vote Labour back in with their open cheque book for benefits and handouts to everyone.
So basically, this country is on a slippery slope to becomming a major shithole.

No, it's just that both political parties are a tonne of shit. Labour offers nice social things, Conservatives offer a way out of financial quagmire by cutting nice social things. Neither are sustainable in the long run, so we switch between them every now and then.

Both happen to be negative and exist as a reaction to nullify each other.
(ninja'd!)

Spending cuts and higher taxes are only going to hinder economic growth
Spending cuts and higher taxes are only going to hinder economic growth
Exactly, heightening vat and university fee's is also going to be a major problem. No one is spending as much as they used to be because of this. People need to save more money rather than spend it.
The robin hood tax needs to be put into place too, also Nuclear and cleaner energy so that cuts are reduced so people can spend more

Labour are really conservative themselves, so they're all a bunch of idiots.
Is there something in the definition of the word liberal that makes it automatically left wing for you guys? Because over here in Dutchland the liberals are middlish rightwing.

liberal in the UK is the centre ground, not left or right

Actually Blair did come some way ro rectify the mess Major left but did overall fail. The conservatives don't exactly have a proud history either, look at Thatchers last few years for example.

Cut the nice social things, then. People need to learn to be independent.
