Best Buy to make internet price matching permanent to prevent 'showrooming' - Polidicks

We price match newegg at my job (Micro Center). You bring in the sheet and we confirm on the website. If your a dick and go try to make us check every site on price matching we will decline a price match. Don't come into here and tell us to check Newegg, It's disrespectful and lazy. We also match other retailers walmart and etc but that depends on pricing and item. 99.99% of customers get there price match. that little percentage is dickheads and people who try to choose some no-name retailer for price match

funny story about that, as a canadian, best buy has alien anthology for $65, amazon.ca has it for $44, and amazon.com has it for $23 they refused to pricematch with amazon.com. With import fees and taxes, it still came to $36 on amazon.com, a good $30 cheaper :v:

Don't come in and say "Hey i know this is cheaper on newegg, can you look it up." Not only do they have to sell something cheaper to you, sometimes even at a lost and have to spent time looking all that shit up.

I don't understand the point of price matching. Unless they're willing to go below that price, I'm just going to buy from the retailer that had the lowest price in the first place instead of wasting my time.

I work in the online department for one of the largest sports, camping and hunting stores in Norway, and we get plenty of people who want us to match prices to other online stores. Customer loyalty or something I suppose.
