I'm surprised Max von Sydow is still alive, because that dude was ALREADY looking old back when he was in The Exorcist.
And that was in 1973.
He was aged up like 40 years for the film. So now that it was 41 years ago - you can see how close they got! :v:

They should have him keep the beard for his role, he'd look pretty badass. Almost reminds me of Kyle Katarn
If anyone is questionable it's Mark Hamil, he hasn't been on screen much for ages! Mainly voice work.

And he let himself go quite a bit.
doesn't help that his face is pretty much melting
The plastic surgery he got was a result of a really bad car crash he got in. I imagine they'll explain it in the movie as Palpatine's lightning fucking his face up.
I knew that, but I must admit, having a second look he's aged pretty well. If you look at this picture of him during Episode VI's filming, 31+ years ago, he doesn't look much different from how he does now, apart from age:
what a legacy
Don't diss Serafinowicz! I wouldn't mind him having some involvement in future Star Wars productions, alongside acting and writing he's a really cool guy.
Looks like Hamill is growing a beard as well. Him in London a couple of days ago:

He looks great in comparison!
I hope they make Serkis play a creepy, CG Yoda, or I guess Yoda's son since Yoda is dead and all.
That's right Yoda has a son now guest written by George Lucas.
Thanks for putting the image of Yoda boning some crusty green alien midget, asshole!

oh okay, I didn't know they were recasting Luke to William H. Macy

I could totally see Luke growing a beard to try and look like Obi-Won.
Also, the one thing I really hope for, is much slower paced fights. Those had a lot more feeling behind them then seeing an acrobatics show.

The prequels tried too hard to be flashy and that was their biggest downfall. Complexity doesn't necessarily make something better and I hope they realize that this time around.
You guys forget about Slipstream Mark, plus that image with him with Peter, he looks fine for the role.

Great cast, no Lucas, no kids or jar-jar... am I excited? This can't be.

I've always been tentatively optimistic about the new movies.

Prequels are still canon. EU isn't.
no benedict cumberbatch? But he was so good as the two-headed podracing announcer

What?
no ewoks no deal
I really want Luke to have a beard and be like obi-wan. That is what must happen.
Woo! No Bernadette Combersnops!

I thought that was the whole point of the intro to the empire strikes back with the yeti thing slapping luke in the face, because he had the accident before then and they wanted to have a reason for him looking different?
At least, that's what I assumed when I found out about the accident.

He looks like a 60 year old Ewan McGregor.
Prequels are still canon. EU isn't.
What about the EU? I didn't mention it.
I mean Lucas as in George Lucas. If he's not involved, all the better.

I know what he referred to, but I'm not sure if he was making a joke or not.

Says they were portrayed by Greg Proops and Scott Capurro. Neat, I didn't know Greg Proops worked on Episode I.
