They can do a lot with VFX these days but I really think most if not all of the movie will have to be redone with him simply written out of it somehow. I don't think he'll get recast easily.

idk it'd be a rather dick move to kill off the character as well, and you can't really do a death scene without the actor and not have it look dumb. They're probably just gonna do a ton of re-shoots to make the plot not involve his character. Don't see them re-casting either, as that'd piss people off just as much.
Unless they pull another Tokyo Drift with fresh actors; Fast and Furious might be done.

As tragic and shitty as it is, having his last moments being in a Carrera GT after being associated with cars for so long is an "appropriate" goodbye if anything.

I'm under the impression that he's a main character, right? I haven't seen any of the movies past the first one so I don't know where it's taken him. I feel like it would be a lot of re-shooting.
