I agree, they're pretty dope. I'm in the Arabic program at my university, and several of our professors straight rock that shit. But, if you're not Muslim yourself, I'd imagine it's pretty insulting to go around wearing one just because it looks nice. How pissed would people get if I walked around dressed like a Catholic priest?
What does that matter?
This should get into modern fashion and get more accepted. It's nice and colorful, you can make billion combinations, and you wouldn't need to worry about coloring and combing your hair. I'm not joking.
I love how your main reason for doing this is that "you can be a filthy cunt and forget hygiene"

Muslims believe females should be covered up to protect their integrity.
What does that matter?
Son, are you suggesting people have freedom of speech? Oh boy oh boy, how fucking wrong are you? You can't just go around having opinions like it's no-ones business.
It's a fucking rag, who cares.
Its a massive fucking double standard in Muslim culture. The Muslim guys at my school smell of ashes and never shave and wear normalish t-shirts and jeens while women are veiled and dressed up at all times. I don't think normalizing it is the way to address a legitimate gender inequality imposed by one culture but outright banning it isn't the answer either, because the change will have to come from within the Muslim community.

Stop trying to drop back on a freedom of speech argument whenever you fear you might be called on your xenophobia. We're saying that you should maybe, just maybe, be conscious of the fact that certain things mean certain things for certain people. Just because I can wave the Nazi flag outside my door doesn't mean I will, or that I'll be happy with those who do.

I was mocking the idea that religious people seem to think they're immune from mocking, which is obviously retarded.
is there any actual reason to be upset about this relatively mundane and entirely voluntary suggestion other than "it is associated with islam and i think islam is bad!" i mean if somebody made this exact same suggestion regarding traditional indian or east-asian attire then nobody would give a shit
You know, I was at JC Penney the other day, and they had Hijabs on sale. But they weren't listed as hijabs, they were listed as "head scarves." So that's a thing. (JC Penney is a large US department store. They sell clothes and furniture and housewares and jewelry and perfume and...)
I love how your main reason for doing this is that "you can be a filthy cunt and forget hygiene"
rofl he just said you wouldnt need to comb your hair, not that you wouldnt need to wash it I see girls who are too busy/lazy to comb their hair put it up in a bun or wear a hat, how would this be any different?

[editline]12th April 2015[/editl.
Its not a school, its a college and I see a lot of muslims in class who come from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and many other countries as well as american ones, plus I live in an apartment complex mostly rented out to middle east students, I kinda can see a double standard in their dress
