1:26 of which video?
Oh wait, the first. Well, my bad then. I still don't know what they mean by "Pure audio" though.
Guess they just edited it out and loudened it a lot. Probably fake, even if it's creepy.
Edit:
So was this heard at the same time around the world or what?
Also, one of the papers talks about HAARP. True or not, HAARP makes some freaky shit.
i thought i heard fkin alien space crafts when i was little, but as i grew older i figured out it was the airport plane noises echoing to my house
Okay this is freaky. I have a ham radio and i keep picking up signals like that in my area, They were never here before. There's no big machinery or construction nearby. I live pretty much in bumfuck nowhere. I pick up these sounds on both my radio and my computer speakers. It started a week ago when my friend came over and has happened on and off since. There's no new construction demolition or anything here. No airports. Just the sound like heard in a couple videos. I took down my HAM this week, I'll set it up on sunday to check though, Considering.

Obviously there's a government bunker underneath your house and a captured alien is sending out psychic signals to get you to rescue it
No seriously buy a gun cause that always where people go wrong when aliens show up
The only reason people are shitting themselves over this is because it's 2012.
Then again, even the news channels in Costa Rica were injecting biblical innuendo in to their stories by talking about the strange noises as being “apocalyptic” and talked about how the Bible foretold of it.
No it didn't?
Actually I've seen this explained on Reddit so what fucking scientists are we hiring to figure this shit out?
It's chainsaws cutting down trees, the noise is a vibration sound wave from the loud chainsaws, hitting our atmosphere and coming back to us to our ears.

If you can pick it up in your computer speakers its most likely radio interference. If you leave a cell phone next to your speakers and you get a text, you will hear weird noises.

So so wrong, I cannot even begin to explain how wrong this is, but I'll try.
1. Chainsaws are already in our atmosphere so how does the sound bounce of the surrounding air?
2. Sound is the vibration of molecules against other molecules, that is why teh sound of a chainsaw won't bounce of the atmosphere.
3. Pretty fucking big chainsaw if you can hear it around 100 miles away.
I hope the apocalypse comes.
whether I die immediately or survive for a while, it'd be interesting as hell
I love how photobucket blocks the image for "too many views". Leaves me wondering why anyone uses the bloody thing when there are so many better services for uploading images to.
Photobucket is great. It just has a 10 Gig monthly limit. So don't go uploading 5mb images and you're golden. It keeps your photos and you can organize and all that shit too which is useful to have over the Upload and Forget services
On topic though. I so wish Aliens would arrive. But it isn't happening. Ever. And half of these videos you can take the audio, put it in Goldwave, speed up the audio, and it's just slowed down animals and musical instruments and shit like that
From what im hearing, these strange sounds are pretty much sounds from somewhere else being amplified by the geometry and being bounced off to wherever by the atmosphere, and its picked up by our ears and audio equipment.
however, its possible it could be something else dont get me wrong, this is a common phenomenon that has been ignored until today and now everyones freaking out just because its friggen 2012.

If not common, it may be a natural phenomenon if you take into account the earthquake that happened shortly after - that could literally be the sound of plates beginning to break - Who knows what millions of tons of vexing rock truly sounds like?

Not sure if its a valuable source since it was caught underwater, but this could be the sound your refrencing.
Also, yes it could be a natural phenomenon, Its not like this was big news earlier, so I dont think many are used to the strange sounds.
The earth works in strange ways.

Yes - and considering we don't know much about the geological structures in the area, that sound could be amplified, distorted, or changed in many ways. I'm not claiming to be right, but it is a possibility few seem to be considering.
This video was shot in Colorado by a couple hikers on August 22, 2012. Now this one could be likened to the sound of a drum or trumpet sound. One thing…there’s no denying it’s ominous beat.
Wait what
It's all from this video.

It's the trumpets of the earth playing!

gotta admit, that sounds pretty damn cool
You're all idiots.
Getting excited over sounds none of us here have heard.
Funny that.
sounds like the machines from war of the worlds
but come on, why do people think the only reason for these sounds are beacuse the world is about to end, it could anything
It's a lot like the War of the Worlds sound. I admit it's creepy, but I doubt it's the end of the world.
Chewgum. it's 2012, that's why.
the combine are invading guys!
I heard yesterday morning on the Today show that apparently, there's massive solar storms on the sun right now or something, and it could affect the Earth's magnetic field, so maybe that would cause some strange resonating noise in the atmosphere?
I don't know anything about the sun and that shit, but... It's worth a shot guessing.
Edit:
Okay yeah, looking over this, it's pretty bullshit...
Disregard my "atmospheric resonating" theory, I guess I just shot that out of my ass.
Whats more if they were real they would be in the news alot more!
Sounds like the chalk mine in the valley my granny lives in.

Possibly, we still don't know everything about our atmosphere, magnetosphere and ionosphere, but the CME is supposed to hit the northern hemisphere as far as I'm aware so it's unlikely that anything happening up here would be heard in Asia and not Europe or America.
But im sure there is a perfectly logical explanation
