You're just sucking Valve's dick.
and how is this news
I don't get why you guys are so harsh on the CoD series. You're just a bunch of hipsters about it really. "I don't like it because it's popular."
Hell, you're like /v/ about anything that isn't a JRPG
apparently, i'm dumb because I have my own taste in games. Go click on my steam profile, look at my games.
Lately valve's games have been quite shitty too.
If it was still in WW2 people would be complaining the same way they are now.
EDIT: TIME PARADOX
I really hope I'm not the only one that remembers when every shooter that came out was either vietnam or some world war.
I'm honestly quite happy with them doing shooters taking place in more modern settings and I'd hate to go back to fighting nazi's and Vietnamese soldiers all over again.
I enjoy playing the IW Cod games, and yes they're becoming rehashes (honestly every new game could just be dlc)
How far can you inovate a game where you shoot at people?
It's not a fair criticism to say it is non-innovative really, considering there is also a technological limit on the amount of data that can be shipped with the game aswell.
Yeah, i've never bought any map pack because its BS, but really, saying it's not innovative enough is a stupid reason to hate a game in a genre like FPS's, what more can we add in the next few installments before we've got too much data to hold, or a game so packed with tiny features and niche demands that it no longer sells.
At the end of the day, the game exists to make money, so it's always going to pander to the mass market, i've enjoyed every call of duty so far, i enjoy the multiplayer mostly, and i never really bought it for the story; i think the changes its gone through in the last few installments are huge, large amounts of customisation, killstreaks, gamemodes, map and art style, weapons and so on.
How much further can they improve it every year before it becomes too big or too niche?

There is being not innovative and there is only changing models, maps, gun stats, killsteaks and releasing the same game every year. It's like a model and weapon mod with new maps for 60$ every year.

Let's not release it every year then.

While that is a fair point, I believe we're allowed to accuse it of stagnating when they quite literally copy-paste the boat chase from MW2.
It's not the same game, it just seems like the same game each year to some people while others feel the game changes significantly each year.
It's the same story, with the same characters, same weapons and using the same engine. What makes it different? The number at the end?
i think treyarch should just fuck off and stop making games
the only thing Black Ops had was a good zombie gamemode and campaign
MP (the main thing that CoD thrives from) sucks ass in Black Ops
yeah i'd be angry too if i was a giant hypocrite
Except those statements don't contradict each other. In the first post you quoted, he was claiming how people tend to think that people who don't like COD at all only dislike it do to ridiculous reasons and prejudice. The second post states that it's idiotic to not notice that you have bought practically the same game three times and not noticed they are extremely similar.

Oh yeah because Valve hates money, you know if Valve and Activision switched places Valve wouldn't even bother to give a shit about players.
>new COD is announced
omg they don't even change anything anymore it's just a rehashh
>they change something
oh fuck dick what are they doing jeusus that's gonna suck
[editline]2nd July 2011[/editline]
I am sorry but I fail to get this.
Team Killstreaks would be neat. Say, if your entire team can get a total of 20 kills or something without anyone dying, the team gets faster respawns until someone dies and the counter resets
Or sucky team streaks, like on a 3-cap CTF match if you're down 2-0 you get a couple sentry guns to put up around your flag or something
You get faster respawns until someone dies? :v:
You get faster respawns until someone dies? :v:
"Okay, so no one die so we can keep the killstreak!"
"How do you activate the killstreak?"
"By dying"
I'll play the newer cod series online a few times and have a few good kicks, but even i know that they're all essentially the same game with no innovation at all between them. All their multiplayers are bug ridden and broken with enemies spawning right behind the other team. Unbalanced weapons and killstreaks and not to mention perks.
I might buy this but not for awhile because i have plenty of good games to buy in November other than "Call Of Duty: The same game as last year but our fanbase is so dense they won't notice"

Oh my god laughing so hard right now.
Wait... you're serious?
Let me laugh even harder.
Watch it be a legitimate improvement.

One was "if someone doesn't like what I like I will insult him" the other was "you are stupid for not seeing/denying that those games are the same".

yeah except it's hypocritical to suggest that you have a smart reason to hate call of duty and then claim you're an idiot for not agreeing with them all being the same.
it's called being a twat to people and it makes me want to ignore your posts because you're only arguing because you hate people

The word "hipster" is so mainstream.

Valve is awesome.
Valve is awesome.
I can't wait until everyone loves valve and then a load of people are going to start hating them because they liked them before it was cool and now valve aren't the same as they used to be, they've sold out.

MP (the main thing that CoD thrives from) sucks ass in Black Ops
Why's that
Why's that
There has to be a reason now?
Why's that
Because it's CoD multiplayer, it has to suck ass! :argh:
This basically sums up what has happened since COD4
IW: Add 2 new features
3arc: STRIP DOWN; make boring
IW: add 2 new features
3arc: STRIP DOWN; make boring
IW: add 2 new features
3arc: STRIP DOWN; make boring
I wonder how stripped down the new killstreak system will be in Black Ops 2.
Actually, the killstreaks feel more balanced in Black Ops then they did in MW2.
