It used to have cocaine in it up until 1929, but that was because technology of the time wasn't able to remove all cocaine from the coca leaf, and because of trademark issues.

But the amount was so small that it was insignificant. One source puts 25 million gallons of coca-cola would only have at most 0.600 grams of cocaine in it.

Some of the earliest batches in 1885 did have a lot more though because coca-cola was originally a patent medicine. It wasn't uncommon for patent medicines of the time to be laced with cocaine or far worse things (like paint thinner.)

The issue is that the majority of people that will drink this are kids, they like the sugary taste and the buzz. They're likely to drink more cans than is safe.

Used to get these too, they were not even that great. I think I remember it burning your throat a little as you drank it and it tasted a lot like cough syrup.

Went to their website and they still sell it, they have a map of all the stores that sell it.

I think the worst energy drink I've had are the 'Energy Shots' that claim there is as much caffeine as a single can. It was one of the Relentless shots I think, it tasted like bleach smells and made me fell sick for hours after it.
