Liberal Activists Upset Paris Terrorist Attacks Are Getting Attention, Not Mizzou Protests

There will always be people like this,
there will always be the contrast, experienced people trained in whatever way to handle obstacles or provide people means to cope.
Bob Ross did talk about how there will be bad things in the world, just watch the news, and painting can give you a world you can escape to.
Are these people serious? Talk about lacking perspective; 140+ innocent people were just MURDERED.
A certain anonymous message board has been investigating these protesters and it seems like quite of the most vocal ones are from millionaire families.
I can only imagine that they're just out for attention.
A bunch of insensitive mental subnormality African Americans.
Yeah this is so fucking far out there that part of me just wants to believe it's fake. But it probably isn't.
And they are not liberals whatsoever. Extreme neoprogressives are not liberals at all. They would love heavy authoritarianism as long as sides with them, for example.
Reminds me of the people basically going "even if your blog is 100% food recipes or pictures of cute dogs you're a disgusting racist freak if you don't reblog ferguson" back then, though.
the forum is going off the fucking chain with wacko conservative trailer park tier gossip and posts lately, the fuck is going on

they've always been here, but the combination of mods mostly letting them shitpost unless they go full "kill all niggers/muslims/brown people" or something blatant like that(and even then, it takes several posts of that going by the terrorist attack thread) plus a very serious terrorist attack, serves to draw out most of them, so we'll keep seeing more and more of them, at least some of them are getting banned thankfully.

not to long ago you admitted in trying to use a gotcha question on the topic of Canadian parliament, I answered the question you didn't see it as an answer you wanted.
Perhaps you're viewpoint is biased to a point of confusion?

Confirmation bias on both your parts, or exceptional political blinders.
There has been just as much, if not more, extreme left wing 'funposting' about things like gun control, trans-rights, and racism.
Did you miss the threads about the abusive school security officer? Or the transgender MMA fighter? Or the guncontrol cluster-kerfluffle following the American shootings in summer?
Oh, did you also miss people blatantly trying to push gun-control as a talking point while people were being murdered in Paris?
Or do none of those count, because these rascist shitposters are clearly insane, and left-wing shitposting is just "clear, common sense."
There have also been plenty of bans handed down on both 'sides.' More importantly, there shouldn't even be sides, but hey, it's the internet. We love to fracture and separate because we all get to be our own kings.
As for the more on-topic stuff, yes, in some sense this should be non-news. However, the Media love Social Media because they have names and faces they can tag great controversies to. Do you think this has never happened?
American biker culture grew out of a picture of ONE man who had never even ridden a bike himself, posing on a Harley Davidson an inch deep in beerbottles and drug paraphernalia. It permanently etched a picture of 'bad boys' in the American psyche. Another one has to do with opinions on the Vietnam war/ Many were shaped by reporters seeking out soldiers early in the war who explicitly detested their conditions and wanted to go home, in spite of a majority of soldiers actually wanting to go on a real offensive, which never came because of the Pentagon's fear of media meddling.

there are barely any real "extreme left-wing" posts or posters on this forum lol, are you crazy? what's extreme left-wing about gun control or opposing racism? the only thing that could be seen as far-left would be trans-rights and that depends heavily on the place.
if you see those things as "extreme-left", then thanks for proving my point.
havent you noticed all the "badass queer black women march against racism" threads??
These aren't Liberals, just attention whores.

Shit rolls down hill and whilst it does that, it only gets bigger.

This article is garbage, it's just twitter posts from nobodies.

There's as many extreme left posters here as extreme right posters. That is, there's hardly any of either even including the ones that get banned swiftly, but it's convenient to paint your opponents with one brush.
There's a huge swathe of middle ground in between the vocal minority left and the vocal minority right. Sane feminists, MRA's who aren't just being reactionary. Wanting to help as many refugees as possible, and people concerned about the sheer volume of people coming into their country. Completely disregard the terrorism part too, it's not hard to get into a country as a terrorist, many terrorists are simply born in their target country like Brevik, and it shouldn't be a talking point.

Middle ground?
I go to my library's philosophy section and it seems there is a whole smorgasbord of ideas. Not just "left and right"
How fucking retarded can you be? For 99% of the world a large scale terrorist attack on a major global city matters more than racial injustices on some college campus in the backwater of America.

Those topics require more context. I'm not opposed to gun control at all, it's that those laws usually proposed by politicians who aren't fully knowledgeable of existing gun laws and guns in general. I would be opposed to a politician who claims that homeopathy is more effective than regular medicine.

Its what killed occupy wallstreet. These rich liberal hipster types.
Just more cunts who crave being the victim of something because otherwise their lives don't matter.
Mizzou alumn chiming in. Don't let these few tweets be representative of the campus as a whole please. We tend to attract a few entitled students, and those are they thay tend to reach the headlines. Whenever incidents like this happen, the campus stands together in solidarity, sans a few who feel they are above the rest. You'll find that on almost any campus.

I think most if not everyone is judging the protesters because of this, not the entire campus.
What's interesting about all this Mizzou stuff is that it was sparked by something that may not actually have happened.

Conveniently missed the drag queen thread too.

No the issue is MSNBC years-alumni saying in an objective report that "this just has to be the surface, there HAS to be more, with absolutely no proof or any evidence of the kind.
This is a national issue because it is receiving continual national attention, attention with very obvious and loud bias.
Would you prefer Salon's article about "Let Paris be the end of the right’s violent language toward activists
Real terror unfolds in Paris. Perhaps this will convince the right to tone down their incessant violent rhetoric"?
well actually i'd prefer that salon didn't exist since it's a trash website
not like it matters, since journalists usually write dumb thinkpieces like these for an audience that's broadly unrepresentative of the rest of society.

tbh i need to own up to my own biases here, since i think this post probably applies to me, too.
seeing it shoveled onto my side of the spectrum for a change is eye-opening.

The Right doesn't? Allow me to introduce the Republican frontrunners, Donald Trump and Ben Carson.
Idiots exist at every point along the political spectrum.
if we're going off social media then there's plenty of posts about how caring about paris is eurocentric and we should also care about the bombings in lebanon or eye-roll worthy stuff, too bad these edgy dipshits forgot all about an entire russian plane being blown up in-air or didn't know about it in the first place

I think it's pretty silly to call any of the front runner politicians idiots. They aren't sitting where they are by pure chance, besides maybe some advantages since birth. Even if you were born to a wealthy political family, you still won't make it far if you're an "idiot".

One cites tweets from known poster child MRAs, the other is about troll bait probably started by 4chan but ended up trending. Sorry, very bad examples.
This is some random, mostly black twitter users (pretty much debunking the 'liberal activist' narrative from the start with an obvious racial solidarity component to these tweets) neither trending nor attracting any big names to say something stupid. Cue some trashy conservative news site with a dedicated Ann Coulter section trying to cash in on the emotional outpouring (like the rest of the right wing) over Paris by screen capping some random tweets and portraying it as a trend among 'liberal activists', when unlike your two examples it is neither vindicated by significant names or by a fringe hash tag taking off into the mainstream.
One is at least of interest if you follow twitter's trends and that of prominent MRAs, the other is mining for what you can to fuel a right wing outrage culture in light of another terrorist attack that also happens to heighten the immigration debate.
