• Liberal Activists Upset Paris Terrorist Attacks Are Getting Attention, Not Mizzou Protests
I think it's pretty silly to call any of the front runner politicians idiots. They aren't sitting where they are by pure chance, besides maybe some advantages since birth. Even if you were born to a wealthy political family, you still won't make it far if you're an "idiot".
I must politely disagree. Being clever at one thing does not mean you cannot be an idiot at another. Ben Carson is an intelligent man. He's an accomplished neurosurgeon who has helped research new medical advancements in the field, and that's no simple feat, but when it comes to the scientific and social world outside his medical experience? He's an idiot. Donald Trump has a good sense for business. Even setting aside the incredibly successful business, vast fortune, and teams of expert advisors that he inherited from his father who were invaluable in giving him his edge, Trump has displayed a unique aptitude for building profitable enterprises. But when it comes to life outside the Fortune 500 club? He's an idiot.
what the fuck is a mizzou
One cites tweets from known poster child MRAs, the other is about troll bait probably started by 4chan but ended up trending. Sorry, very bad examples. This is some random, mostly black twitter users (pretty much debunking the 'liberal activist' narrative from the start with an obvious racial solidarity component to these tweets) neither trending nor attracting any big names to say something stupid. Cue some trashy conservative news site with a dedicated Ann Coulter section trying to cash in on the emotional outpouring (like the rest of the right wing) over Paris by screen capping some random tweets and portraying it as a trend among 'liberal activists', when unlike your two examples it is neither vindicated by significant names or by a fringe hash tag taking off into the mainstream. One is at least of interest if you follow twitter's trends and that of prominent MRAs, the other is mining for what you can to fuel a right wing outrage culture in light of another terrorist attack that also happens to heighten the immigration debate.
The former article cites a single blog. The tweets in that article were from people criticizing the author of that blog, not MRAs themselves. The troll tweets cited in the latter article only started trending from prominent people who disagreed with them.
what the fuck is a mizzou
shitty party school in flyover
What's interesting about all this Mizzou stuff is that it was sparked by something that may not actually have happened.
It was something small anyways.
The former article cites a single blog. The tweets in that article were from people criticizing the author of that blog, not MRAs themselves.
But then you have no point. In this case the media 'cherry picked' probably one of the most famous MRA sites. I use that in quotes since we're making the comparison to quote mining random black twitter users expressing racial solidarity as evidence of the opinions of 'liberal activists' on Paris.
The troll tweets cited in the latter article only started trending from prominent people who disagreed with them.
Yea, the media took the bait. But on the other hand, it's doing so on an elephant in the room, considering anxiety related to America's changing demographics and visibility of minorities, radicalization of the right (incidentally 4chan calls this twitter campaign alt right*) and the rise of white populists that stir up the GOP base (trump), and worsening race relations and old difficulties never solved in the 60s. I still don't see why this isn't a false equivalency to the liberal activists claim, since it's such a massive leap in logic. *relevant since, like you claim with the left and the latter article, the right did it's own apparent cherry picking of a 4chan twitter campaign, with the cuckservative nonsense that was surprisingly effective. The only conclusion we can draw from your second article is that both the left and right take the alt/far right and anon trolls seriously.
It was something small anyways.
blame english lit class for training young minds to see every odd and end as a symbol of something larger, i guess. though if there's actual racial discrimination going on at mizzou then it does deserve attention. i don't know enough about it to make definitive statements.

Hence why I referred to that blog post as cherry-picked. The latter article cited three tweets that didn't have an overwhelming of support via RTs and Favs, which is also why I consider them to be cherry-picked to push narrative of a non-existent mass of boogeymen that aren't there.
I have to keep telling myself not to respond in rage after reading some of the stupid fuckers.
