The glass is also being vibrated by a noise with a frequency somewhat close to it's resonant frequency, but not quite.
how the fuck do you walk into a god damn window hard enough to get injured from it
i mean apart from bumping your nose into it i can't see how you could get hurt, it's not like you're fucking charging into it at 80 mph
She's obviously used to the days when shops were just open markets with no entrances and this stall was filled with apple products

she's 83, that's how
Those windows are reflective enough that they should be easily visible. Obviously there's something there if you're seeing reflections of people off of it. Then there's also the fact that it has white stickers all over it, that are very easily visible. Or the fact that there's a metal plate at the bottom of the glass. to hold it up.
Honestly, I can't see any way for the average person to walk into that glass, I wouldn't walk into it without the markings and the white markings are there for people like her. This feels like the equivalent of someone complaining their neck is destroyed after someone accidentally nicks their car in a parking lot.
So this woman's blind enough to walk straight into them without realizing it, and yet either strong or fast enough in doing so to somehow 'break her nose' at the age of eighty-three? I mean, older individuals might have weaker bones or something, but she must be extremely brittle or faster on her feet than the regular senior to break a nose from walking into thin glass. I respect my seniors, but hell if this doesn't just sound like a money grab.
really because that would be a really shitty reason to lose a million dollars just because someone didnt look where they were fucking going
those stickers are obvious enough
So what, they are worth like 100 billions or something...
So what, they are worth like 100 billions or something...
Because it sets a precedent for idiots getting away with being idiots.

83 year-olds with bad eyesight are idiots now?
83 year-olds with bad eyesight are idiots now?
Well, I question her intelligence when she tries getting away with $75,000 for "medical costs" for a broken nose, plus the other $1,000,000 for who the fuck knows what.
83 year-olds with bad eyesight are idiots now?
I'll bet this woman has better eyesight than me (Which isn't hard. I'm considered legally blind)
and even I can see how obviously reflective that glass is. Most likely she wasn't paying attention where she was walking.

500 pound manchild with a sonic pitched bitch-scream

but she needs a condo and a race car to compensate for the mental anguish she has suffered from this terrible atrocity!
You could probably fix a broken nose easily at home

Depending on how severe it is, yes. But like I said, I don't know if it could really cost more than $2,000.
And if I had a million dollars for each case of "mental anguish" a corporation has put me through I'd be pretty rich.

are you serious
are you serious
Yes
it probably wouldn't look as good but if it's not too bad I can see being done easy enough to manage it I guess
I never had a broken nose anyways, though
Reminds me of the Windex birds.

Well depending on how serious it is, a broken nose needs to be set before it heals
That's why if you don't take action on a broken bone they may need to re-break your bones.

what a dumbass statement
that isnt even the point
LOL WHO CARES IF THEY LOSE A LOT OF MONEY FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING THEYRE RICH ANYWAY
any normal person would just shrug it off and keep moving, this is a stupid excuse to make a quick buck
how do you people even function
"any normal person" most likely isn't an 83 year-old with brittle bones and dim senses
Well it's a start.
I'm not a fan of Apple, but this kind of case is just retarded. I hope they win this one.
This reminds me of when a bird crashed into my bedroom's window.
Looks like Apple has a Windows problem
Who here hopes she wins? :v:
I thought most people here were against being able to sue for stupid shit.
I guess it's only bad when Apple does it.
Not me. The woman walked into the glass, why should she win? The story makes it seem like she just wants to make money off suing a big company.
I don't know if you were trying to be ironic or not but that is pretty much exactly what Apple has been doing as of late. Normally, I would not want someone to win a lawsuit over such an obvious money-grab but Apple deserves it.
I'm more interested in what those balls in the image are for
It's the iPi :v:
"So I broke my nose and had to get that set... that'll be 75k... and I think that plus the emotional damage.... rounds out to about a million dollars."
Seems legit.
Who here hopes she wins? :v:
Your an ass, this will only worsen the absurd health and safety laws and will make an idiot rich.
Apparently breaking your nose is worth 75k in medical care and 1m in punitive now
Rule #1 about suing for money, be crazy even if it does go down in the court if you ask for a small amount you get screwed. Ask for a big crazy amount you're more than likely gonna get more than what you would if the company or whoever had it their way.
