Parents have been getting less and less brutal when it comes to punishment every generation. I was usually spanked or slapped when i was a kid, my dad on the other hand, if he did something, bad, and i mean BAD; he got a lash. Other than that he would get the crap beat out of him by his father. if the old guy gets a charge for this im gonna get pissed. Being politacally correct is starting to get old

If I were that man, I'd have knocked his nose in. This is why people conflict with the law; common sense seems to dictate that you should eliminate threats, whereas the judicial system thinks you should tolerate it because we're in a society. Literally, "He was asking for it" doesn't work anymore. If someone TELLS you to punch them, and you do, you go to prison. Though I'm sure you all know that.

Imagine how much better the world would be if we went back to physical pain for punishment.
