Maybe god is like the chemist who just left the room quickly after the green bubbly stuff started oozing over the edge of the table and flowing down the hallway? uhh it was like that when I got there, I swear I quite like the idea of an incompetent god
"there was a power surge and it was all corrupted, I promise!"
What the fuck, world. I don't have this kind of hatred for anyone I've ever met. Where the fuck does it all come from?
That's not completely true. For example here, I could openly go and discuss some certain part of the bible with a priest, and he would most probably disagree, but if asked if I am still a christian if I simply disagree with it but generally follow the rest, he wouldn't argue against it. Thing is that a lot of stuff is left for rather broad interpretation, and sometimes even the priests disagree with each other, and I guess it varies from place to place, but I am pretty sure that by principle nobody can really "strip you of Christianity". Once you are baptized, the church can only excommunicate you, which means you aren't allowed to accept the sacraments and such, but nobody can state you aren't a Christian anymore, either. Keep on mind that you are a christian even if you murder somebody, as long as you feel that way. Another thing is that there are many churches, like Catholics, Orthodox, Evangelical, etc, and all these are Christians, while often applying highly different ideology. The only question is your own belief.
If you've accepted the holy spirit and know Jesus to be your savior you'll be saved. If you don't follow a specific part of the bible, it is simply a sin. It's not something that will completely debase your views since God loves all his children no matter what they do; we don't even need to repent. Not to mention, this probably isn't even a sin and was probably written by some douchebag who "misinterpreted" the message he received due to blinding hatred. Saying that I DONT FOLLOW LEVITICUS SO IM NOT REAL CHRISTIAN is horribly stupid. If you steal something, you're not going to be banished from the church. ITT: People quoting Leviticus who don't know jackshit about Christianity.
If he killed himself a month after the video, didn't this happen months ago?
That sucks, hard.
Good lord his parents are some of the worsts fucking parents I've heard of in a long time disregarding the WBC. If you can just easily disown your own son for being against your religious beliefs, you are filth. You are the one that deserves to be a second-class citizen.
I guess it didn't get better, huh?
It gets even more sad if you believe in christian God. He will be sent to hell for atleast two reasons: for being gay and for taking his own life.
"A sin of the flesh is not a sin of the tongue" And the Catholics made suicide a sin. [editline]14th January 2012[/editline]
Leviticus 20:13:
Old Testament

So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. Taking that into context, its saying that making them gay was the punishment for their errors. That error was worshiping false gods.
your point? if anything it's even worse in context
Telling someone to stone another for being gay is far different from telling them they'll become gay if they worship false idols. It's also obvious that you were cutting out the previous verse to make the passage sound more provocative.
Telling someone to stone another for being gay is far different from telling them they'll become gay if they worship false idols.
...okay? what does that have to do with anything? it's homophobic and detestable either way
ow my ironyyy aaaaaah god dammit it hurts so bad MEDIC
...okay? what does that have to do with anything? it's homophobic and detestable either way
It's to be taken with a grain of salt. The following verse, 1:30, mentions obeying your parents too. Everything Including and after that is also just a long list that emphasizes "Don't pass judgement on others" (2:1)
It's to be taken with a grain of salt.
and what does that mean exactly? god is supposed to be loving and accepting, but then he punishes people for not worshiping him by making them gay? what the fuck?
Are FP really having another Athiest-Boner stroking session?

I made the mistake of clicking the OP's title. The most appropriate OP ever.
It's just an exaggeration
so he didn't turn a group of people gay for not worshiping him?
so he didn't turn a group of people gay for not worshiping him?
No, It just ends up being a long list of every possible "bad" thing imaginable, then says
you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
If god exists he's incompetent and a dick too.
If god exists he's incompetent and a dick too.
Depends on what god you're talking about. If you're talking about the Christian one, then yeah, he's a dick.
I guess it got worse for him.
I play airsoft with this asshole. Next time I get him, I won't stop shooting forawhile.
