I don't know, a small tablet like this seems like an awesome idea to me. They just need to make it thinner, not as ugly, and not as expensive.

It looks horrible too, it should be much more square, it looks like a children's toy.

Sony needs to release more lenses for their cameras. They could be kicking so much more ass then they are already if they upper their game there.

Normally you need to be able to run a system fast off commodity parts that are already affordable or else have a clear expectation of where you're going to be in a few years that you can say with some certainty your own bulk purchasing of the custom shit will drive the prices down over time. The PS1 was easy, especially considering it was more or less designed with help, the PS2 wasn't that different, and then when they actually had to make something [I]new[/I], they make the PS3 and PSP, both of which had sketchy fucking design choices (UMD, the initial PSN, having to redesign the PS3's mobo, the whole "we don't actually know how to make the Cell affordable" debauch, the programming difficulty issues, etc.) Of course, that should mean what they make next should be pretty solid, but that ain't helping their bottom line until it's available.

Sony has always been a bit iffy when it comes to the launch product, but after they refine it a bit it always ends up being fantastic. When the PS3 first came out I was a little iffy on it, but when they lowered the price and started making great exclusives I bought one, and I'm damn happy I have it compared to the Xbox 360. Same with the PSP. I think the PS Vita is going to be the first launch-model product i'm going to buy from them, but it looks really promising and I really hope they make a lot of money back off of it in the markets outside Japan.

That and all my friends being on Live is why I got a 360 even though I stuck with Sony since PS1, and now that the PS3 is the one with the great exclusives I REALLY regret it.
