Thats bullshit. Hes 97 years old. Obviously he regrets doing what he did, Why cant they just let it go?
If he truly did commit the murders then he needs to face justice. Time does not wipe away the blood, rebuild the families, or bring back the dead. He should be accountable for his actions.
Tt is arguable that they were not murders as they were orders given during war time during a military operation in an area known for harboring sabatours. Nor was he in command of the operation. But I digress, there is no evidence of his crimes which is why he has not been found guilty before. In before I get screamed at by 15 year old idealists.
So even if he was ordered to do it, why has he not shown any remorse?
Orders are orders, that was a confusing and violent time were both sides were spoon fed propaganda and hate. His emotional state has no barring on the fact that these trials serve no purpose other then to kill more people to satisfy some blood debt.
I hope they make him walk stairs as punishment.
'As a soldier you do as you are order to.' So if you were a soldier and you was ordered to kill innocent civilians you would? Wow, some soldier you are. Anyway i do think there is no point to take this guy to jail. He is old now anyway.
That would make him an excellent soldier. Who are you as a grunt to question your commanding officers? what information do you have, as a grunt, that the high command somehow does not have. Soldiers are taught to fallow orders without question because they do not know the entire situation. They are but a gear in a complex machine. It is very common even now for the infantry in an operation to have basic knowledge of the overall operation. They are given their task to carry out. You dont know who your enemy really is. You dont know what your mission is aimed at truly accomplishing. That is above your pay grade. Your job is to fallow orders and get your shit done.
Oh wow that's hilarious. Country trains and forces man to kill other men, country then later punishes man for killing other men.

Time does not wipe away the blood, rebuild the families, or bring back the dead. He should be accountable for his actions.
And imprisoning someone pretty much on the brink of death will? You haven't even given a point in your post, just some retarded "tough on crime" rhetoric that could've come from any idiotic right wing politician.
They were "Just following orders" when they put the jews in the gas ovens and look what happened to them? America might be after "Justice" but at the same time they carefully keep themselves above it. Edit: This whole war crime system is pretty fucking crooked. The losing side is the one which is always punished and the crimes of the winners are left without prosecution.

There's a video of one such execution over on the YNC that was done by American troops in either a churchyard or just the backyard area of a building; claims he's a spy, but his clothing and markings indicate otherwise.
If he was part of it, he was probably 30 years old, and seeing as how most soldiers during the holocaust were forced to kill those jewish people
This had nothing to do with Jews, it was Serb Massacare.
This is a waste of time and money. The man will likely die in a few years anyway, so what's the point? I doubt there are even any living relatives of the people he supposedly killed who were affected by it. This is purely revenge, and nothing more.
A murderer should be tried regardless of their age, but he won't be going to jail.
Hmm, now that he's accused for over 30 murders, what are the chances that he gets convicted for at least one of them? Probably 100% edit Fucking nazis.
Hmm, now that he's accused for over 30 murders, what are the chances that he gets convicted for at least one of them? Probably 100% edit Fucking nazis.
He won't go to prison. There's no point.
He won't go to prison. There's no point.
yes, so he gets convicted, and it's publicly recorded.
So what if he's old? If he's killed people people then he's killed people. Just because time has passed doesn't mean justice shouldn't be done.
They should take away his tapioca privileges.
If he truly did commit the murders then he needs to face justice. Time does not wipe away the blood, rebuild the families, or bring back the dead. He should be accountable for his actions.
actually, Time DOES wipe away blood. Very well too. Of course not without the help of its buddies wear and tear. [editline]8th May 2011[/editline]
So what if he's old? If he's killed people people then he's killed people. I wouldn't give a shit if my great-grandparents died in camps. I only ever knew 3 of them anyway.
ummmmm, yeah I hate Nazis and the like with a vengeance (Bonus for being Jewish) buit this is a bit too far.
They have tried to take him to court 4 times now and have lacked evidence all times...something tells me the man isn't as guilty as people believe.
he's 97 years old fuck off and leave him alone.
Even IF he took part in the Novi Sad massacres, don't you think that he has at least felt intensely guilty over the past half-century? Also, the fact that he was willing to stand trial despite his frailness really says something about his confidence in his innocence. ~Page King~
War...war never changes.
don't you think that he has at least felt intensely guilty over the past half-century?
Not necessarily.
Also, the fact that he was willing to stand trial despite his frailness really says something about his confidence in his innocence.
Ahhh, he doesn't have a choice... it's a criminal trial.
The criminal justice system should be about rehabilitation and correction, not revenge. This is total bullshit.
Not with war criminals or mass murderers. Sorry.
Who cares war is war. Shit happened in WW2. The war is over. leave it alone and cut the crap already.
Who cares war is war. Shit happened in WW2. The war is over. leave it alone and cut the crap already.
"Man who care about war crimes when the war is over, that's in the past, shit happens you know?"
