I am sorry, but that's so much "white people problems".
What are you doing on a computer when you could be out feeding the homeless?
I think its a bit funny how googles new "modern" flat logo is praised, but every other company that did it was flamed
It's because they kept the font and didn't exchange it for a generic sans serif font. But I personally still prefer the older logo. I am not a fan of the current flatness trend.
It strikes me as kind of funny how closely this coincides with Bing completely copying Google's "old" interface.
You get a new logo, and you get a new logo! Everyone gets a new logo!
I still love the super detailed glossy chrome logo. It just doesn't translate well as a shape at icon size. Personally I don't like the shading on the almost-flat one, feels like cheap soft plastic also over-the-top shiny logos are the bane of graphic design freelancers because there's tons of websites that advertise doing 'cheap' logo work and show tons of retardedly overworked things, so clients find those and ask why you're charging so much [sp]the answer is that you're designing things to their specifications like a professional instead of slapping your preferred colors onto pre-made designs in a stock library[/sp]
They're clients so I expect they also wait a week after receiving the invoice to complain as well. And then insist on paying in segments when it says "please pay in full at time of receipt" in bold. And while I like the new chrome logo, I'd really like to half the old chrome logo as a USB hub or something on my desk.
Remember the dithery gif logo they held on to until 2007? Feels weird that what replaced that is being replaced.
What's with people being minimalist so much
I was hoping for a second that "Navigation" menu meant the android navigation app, which is absolutely horrible now.
Facepunch logo should get 3D and fight the powah.

The worlds becoming flat!
What's with people being minimalist so much
Smartphones happened. [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] What I mean is, there's this thing in design where, if you're going to design something small or that might be seen small(like an icon, or a logo) make it so it has as few details as possible(because chances are the details won't be visible anyway) and make it so it's immediately recognizable in any scale, minimalism fits this and now that smartphones are picking up everywhere it's making minimalism spread in the electronic world too.
I don't really like the removal of the black bar, it feels too empty now. Plus it takes too long to reach google services, they should at least give us an option to drag stuff from the nav-menu to to where the images and gmail links are.
its google, they dont care about customization
Google are the guys who made Android, right? [editline]ios a shit[/editline] Or distribute it or something like that.
Looks like the one on the Chromebook, you can move the icons around
The new logo looks like an imprint left behind after you peel the old logo off.
I think white or light grey on black looks pretty slick for a theme or logo, I don't like colours like the ones in Windows 8 though it looks like a toy
Colors look a bit washed out, its actually nice otherwise (compared to other recent redesigns) [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] It does work pretty well on the page though
For some reason I was in their rollout, and got dropped out 3 hours later. It's normal again for me.
I don't like flat logos. They're so cold and uninviting.
For me it still shows the old logo and the black bar at the top.
I hate this new logo desing without kewl effects bullshit even firefox's done it on its icon starting to piss me off.
Will Google still be keeping the really old layout for people with old browsers/who use a user-agent changer?
Looks like everyone really is going minimalist on everything...
Am I the only one who hates this current trend of minimalist icons? I like glossy ones better. The old chrome icon as previously mentioned is a good example.
Am I the only one who hates this current trend of minimalist icons? I like glossy ones better. Yahoo and Google switched logo places.
if this wasnt google everyone would be crying out how they could have come up with the new logo instead of hiring professionals for absurd prices
