It's still pay to win in this situation too. It doesn't about "Oh hurr durr you need a certain level to access them" its still in the game when it shouldn't be. Keep rating my posts dumb though if that makes you happy as you usually do.
I don't understand what makes you think you are qualified to just say they shouldn't be in the game. It's childish, get over yourself.
You can't say its pay to win when you haven't even played it yet.
APB is pay to win, you gain way more experience when you buy premium and unlock guns that are way more powerful then everyone else. That's the difference.
See? This is why Saints Row IV is superior. They don't have this stuff, you buy the game and you get all the content you need. It should be GOTY, but Watch Dogs is coming out soon so idk lol
just gotta wait and see. i got gta 5 and its alright. really wish gta:o was not delayed

I'm talking about the general consensus of the forum. Not just one person.
there is no general consensus because everyone here is different and you're an idiot
I'm talking about the general consensus of the forum. Not just one person.
Listening to FP is not a good thing. Most users are lurkers, and it's general population would be teenagers and young adults, considering the whole forum was originally based around a video game. Now, I'm not saying that's bad, but most of everyone sticks to one opinion, and the others are afraid to share a different opinion due to backlash.
Though, people refuse to say it's a hivemind.
but yes, our forum isn't the whole community. Millions of copies were sold, we are not "millions".
I never played DS3, but were the microtransactions in singleplayer?
Alright so that's a huge difference, rockstar already provided us with a singleplay game of GOTY quality that is probably worth more then 60 dollars by itself with no microtransations. I've already put 50 hours into the game and i'm not even 100% complete yet. In another week I get practically a whole new game that I can play for nothing if I choose.
Go cry. If all you can do is insult me then your opinions don't matter.
Fuck, I don't have time to grind my way through F2P mechanics and I certainly don't want to buy imaginary dollars. I really, really hope they aren't lying when they say that the game is designed for people who aren't paying their way through the game.
Maybe but I could still use other examples of games that have used micro transactions in the multiplayer. It makes no difference, this forum is full of hypocrites.
"we" complain about microtransactions when they break games.
we complained about bf3 getting those stupid microtransactions, but not hardly as much as we complain with F2P games that get microtransactions that totally fuck the game up and unbalance it
if you go and look at the op, more than 50 people think it'd dumb
as you can see facepunch isn't all one omnipotent being, sure between threads people will generally share the same opinion but not everyone from ever subforum is complaining about this
this so far, looks like it can go horribly wrong easily, but we don't know yet. they informed us that it wouldn't ruin the online mode, you can only buy fake money, not "endgame" high damage weapons and super fast cars, you can't buy XP to unlock items either. only money
so far it looks like it shouldn't be a problem. you can't compare buying fake money to buy more ammo in a game to buying fake guns that insta kill anyone from any range
If all you can do is insult me then your opinions don't matter.

Go cry.
Well then, case closed?
It's nice to see people support pay to win in a game you have to pay full price for, because that's what it is, once you have the money, you can buy the best weaponry for deathmatch, fastest car for racing.
Rockstar is like every other company, they will try to screw you over if it can earn them more cash.

Yet you are qualified to tell me why I'm wrong? Look who's talking. It's obvious its pay to win.
Worked fine in Mass Effect, I suppose!
Pretty weird to include micro-transactions to the best selling game of all time.
Well then, case closed?
Confirmed for not reading my other posts.

If you did your research about GTA:O at all you'd know what there's no pay to win, literally there's no exclusive paid-only content.

Except you'll likely have your weapons replaced by ones decided upon by the host, and be allowed to choose from cars that the host picks. Rockstar would have to be hilariously incompetent to allow free roam weapons to carry over into competitive modes.

Oh well let everyone achieve that money normally then. It's basically the lazy way out.

Except you get in the first heist in SP more money than you can buy with a single microtransaction

They sure as hell didn't let guns carry over in Red Dead Redemption.
Oh well let everyone achieve that money normally then. It's basically the lazy way out.
some people just want to have fun blowing shit up with their friends
if they want to spend money to do that faster let them
stop crying
Oh well let everyone achieve that money normally then. It's basically the lazy way out.
That's exactly the point, if you want loads of ingame money to blow on supercars and guns without the timesink, then that's the entire point of this.
Except you get in the first heist in SP more money than you can buy with a single microtransaction
Singleplayer money is separate from online
Captain you keep saying it's pay to win, but you have yet to provide a any proof as to why it is you continue you talk out of your ass and look like an idiot.
They sure as hell didn't let guns carry over in Red Dead Redemption.
Yeah same with GTA IV. I expect that to continue.
Free roam is another story but free roam was always a crapshoot with getting good guns, in GTA IV at least. It basically boiled down to whoever spawned closest to the carbine rifle was a god while everyone else spent three hours gunning each other down with the starting pistol in the spawn area.

I think what Tacosheller is saying that if you can make just as much money in MP heists as SP (depending on the planning) there would really be no disparity between players.

RDR let you keep your guns after you died, but only guns unlocked carried over between sessions. Temporarily, you got guns from doing gang hideouts across the map or obviously picking them off dead people.

"He has a different opinion than me! What a crybaby"
Lol no. Watch EA do this now with one of their new games and everyone will start slating them for it. Just watch..
i honestly can't see the "win" part in p2w if people think that this is supposed to be p2w considering the nature of gta5's gameplay. if that guy is rolling around in a cool car that he didn't earn and it makes you angry for some reason, just steal it or blow it up.
boom, you've actually wasted someone's irl money

I didn't say it was pay to win, I said it is essentially the lazy way out and already explained why. ZachPL being a hypocrite idiot again I see.
