You wanted an argument, you get one. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean people should coddle you and bend over. Besides its not like you were any less confrontational than anyone here. My final word on this whole topic, lots of people can not possibly dedicate the time to grinding out things for games (which this does not affect the unlock system) and this doesn't even guarantee them being on the same level as others, due to the nature of this game. I personally don't need to pay more money, money will probably not be that much of a deciding factor in free roam, and it means absolutely dick in a competitive setting.

It's obvious that getting in game currency is going to be a grind. Or else, there will be no point in the micro transactions. The money is used for cosmetics I assume, and so if weapons are as easy to obtain as in singleplayer (assuming it works like that) it shouldn't really be much of a big deal. I mean, I get why people are getting pissed. Micro-transactions are usually frowned upon for any game, especially with gta online as the main deal with the game is money. But when you look at all the activities you can take part in, the entertainment value should be coming from those, not having a lot of money. (of course, if some activities required you to spend a lot of money to buy the things used in it, that would be fucking annoying). All I'm saying is, I hope this is like tf2 in the way that you can go into the game and play it how it is meant to be played, and the micro-transactions are just for cosmetics and such.

Everyone is up in arms for literally nothing. All this does is allow people to buy money instead of playing for it. Wow. Big deal. Money will be incredibly easy to get through heists anyway, and anything of particular worth (expensive cars, guns, body armour) is locked to rep levels so buying money literally only gives you assurance to afford something you have unlocked without busting another bank. Joe Schmoe at Rep 1 who pays for no money and Johnny Cash, also Rep 1, will not have vast gameplay differences at all. Johnny will just be able to buy his cornrows and baggy slacks first. OMG SO P2W but not really.

I'm just glad it's optional. Personally, I feel like working for your in-game cash in GTA Online is gonna be rewarding as shit, I don't see why people would even wanna pay real money. I can't even understand how buying ingame stuff is going to work, is GTA online a MMORPG like APB:R and such? Do you get to spend money earned from other gamemodes/activities when fighting in PvP(DM/TDM, gangs etc..), are there gamemodes that are independent of your "GTA online character", where your GTA$ money doesn't count? They're purely adding a different route of getting stuff, because some people don't like the activities they need to do to get money! even without the microtransactions, you'd still need to do the activities!
