[QUOTE=JohnFisher89;49611235]most US army bases are gunfree zones only MP's and select others can carry guns

Luckily, the bill for this year that covered our pay increase (less than inflation this time around, bummer) also included a section that allows the command at each military base decide on their own whether the people on it can be armed or not. Hopefully we see it start to pick up momentum and have more bases allow concealed carry. Or shit, uniformed personell should be able to get qualified to carry while moving around base. It doesn't make any sense to trust a watchstander with a weapon for 6-8 hours and then tell him you can't trust him with a weapon the second he gets off watch.
Just remembered I got locked out of my room in my underwear in BLDG 26 once, that's where all of the limited duty folk live.

Luckily I had a sheet with me (the rooms were the individual rooms with the common space) so I wrapped it around and walked downstairs to the duty to let me back into the room. To make matters worse I was running late for a flight back to Japan, I wonder what would have happened if I didn't have that sheet with me...
