iPhone would be fine, but it's round curves disgust me. I don't like my phone being round.
I had a choice between an iPhone and a LG cookie liked the cookie better plus it was cheaper I chose a Zune HD over the iTouch mostly because of the Zune player cus iTunes is outdated
I have an iPhone and my mum has a Cookie. It's awful. The touchscreen is unresponsive as shit and the interface is massively slow. [editline]03:11PM[/editline]
If you want the toy of an iPhone get one. If you want a phone that gets shit done and is actually useful as a device go with anything else.
iPhone is the best device out there. Android is still to rough round the edges and the hardware isn't as good as an iPhone, and WebOS is largely ignored atm (a shame that). If you want the best device out there, it's iPhone.
The basic timeline -Nokia sues over GSM, UMTS and WiFi patents (10 patents) -Apple sues back for 13 patents (don't know which) -Nokia adds 7 extra patents to it's lolsuit, something about input methods is in there too, including sliding something to select something -Nokia asks for import ban on macbook, iPhone and some other things into europe edit: woops, in the US actually that would definitely hurt Apple. Kind of a dick move, guys -Apple asks for import ban on all Nokia phones in the US (which would not hurt nokia as financially, since their phones are not as widespread in the US as they are everywhere else) And here we are, It's obvious both companies have done something wrong. By the way, every other company is paying Nokia (and some other company) for those original patents (they are standard now) so when the iPhone came out negotiations began between Nokia and Apple which took three years. We don't know yet if Nokia was asking for an unreasonable price or not, or if Apple simply wanted to get the technology free. FUN FACTS -Apple is also suing Palm over some multitouch gestures (NOT the pinch to zoom one, though) -Kodak is suing RIM and apple as well -Nokia's R&D team is as big as all of Apple's employees. -Nokia and Sony Ericsson made the smartphone as we know it today (in europe) -Apple brought the smartphone to the mainstream market in the USA (albeit the iPhone 2G didn't really qualify as one) [editline]06:13PM[/editline]
I have an iPhone and my mum has a Cookie. Nokia and O2 are probably the biggest smart-phone companies, so Apple doesnt stand a chance.
Nokia and O2 are probably the biggest smart-phone companies, so Apple doesnt stand a chance.
Doesn't O2 mostly rebrand cellphones/is a service provider?
The only thing apple is good at making is iPods.
Nokia and O2 are probably the biggest smart-phone companies, so Apple doesnt stand a chance.
o2 isn't a phone manufacture if you see o2 branded phones they are usually produced by another company
I just got a Nokia the other day. The 2330. It's pretty much like a modern version of their old classic ones. The ones that would last years upon years. Whereas peoples iphones are breaking all the while.
I am trashing my iPhone in a few months and getting a Nexus One  iPhone has given me nothing but trouble since i got it
I don't know your luck, the iPhone was by far the best phone I had ever had. Most of it isn't even true? The battery in an iPhone lasts more than one day. Yes it charges via USB. Most of it is opinionated, like saying it cracks easy which I have not found to be true at all. Posting this is almost as retarded as an Apple fanboy. [editline]12:49PM[/editline] The typical bandwagon is that it's cool to hate Apple. No one ever has any legit evidence except that their products are more expensive.
The iPhone 3GS has reported cracks all on it's plastic back, there was even a thread on FP. I know not all of those points are correct, but definitely more than half. But that wasn't the point I was trying to make with that post, I just added that list to show that it's not the best there is, far from it in fact. Also if you want proof, follow the link above the quote, in the actual site it has reference links as proof.
Seeing as MacBook Pros are some of the most durable and well made laptops I have to disagree.
It's not just durability but serviceability. If my iPod's battery shits out for good, I have to mail it in to get a new one installed, and the battery replacement costs more than what this damn thing's worth. I would much rather be able to go out, buy a new battery for like $30-50, go home and put the dumb thing in myself. Hell, I'd be willing to pay however much just for the tools to get this damn thing open so I can do just that.

Apple sells 1 phone and computers. Nokia sells a lot of phones and networking solutions.

I hate apple for overpricing their computers to shit. I also don't use iphone because I don't like how it looks, but that's unrelated to hate.
Was in a store, where i saw the new "iMac" (Or whatever it's called). It costed around 2500$, had lower specs than my computer and it has the restriction, to games specifically designed for mac. My computer has a 23" screen (1650*1050), and costed 800$ (With screen). No one can defend apple for this. Well, ok i made my computer myself but whatever, it has twice the graphics strength!
They actually made a computer a long time ago that was a huge success.
Yeah in the mid 1980's. Back then "huge success" was like what? 5000 PCs?
But is it gloss white? The gloss white's the important part!
i hear they get that white gloss colour from grinding up rhino horn
i hear they get that white gloss colour from grinding up rhino horn
Now see, isn't it worth paying $2500 for a slower machine if it also functions as an Aphrodisiac?
Yeah in the mid 1980's. Back then "huge success" was like what? 5000 PCs?
Yes. For Nokia and apple. What's your point?
I've always been a fan of Nokia, and never really liked Apple...
I just hate that you have to buy every damn app for every damn little function for the iPhone. And many of my friends complain about the batteries getting a huge drop in lifetime after a month of usage. So far I've seen 2 of them broken. They break very easily.
ITT: Jealousy and bandwagons.
Seeing as MacBook Pros are some of the most durable and well made laptops I have to disagree.
Who cares how durable they are when they are still running a completely shit OS
They can run Windows too, you know.
