It was primarily the Russians, to be perfectly honest. The Americans did provide significant reinforcements on the Western Front, but America didn't just swoop in and "Fuck their shit up" Japan, on the other hand...
Russians might have been the ones who drove the Nazi's back to Berlin but America joining the war is considered the start of the turning point when the allies started to push back the axis conquerers. Also the Germans were constantly targetting American ships in the atlantic using u-boats. These were actually civilian vessels they were sinking to stop supplies getting to Britian.
ITT: People who don't know how global trade works.
US is getting a taste of its own medicine.
ITT: People who don't know how global trade works.
Please oh wise master, inform us lesser-mortals on the workings of globalisation.
Half of the US economy depends on buying shit from China. I mean come on, China has 1954 trillion dollars in foreign exchange.
Lololol 1954 is the year all of their military tech is from.
The Chinese government can go suck off a donkey. I still find it ridiculous that we've made ourselves so dependent on a foreign country that fundamentally opposes everything America stands for.
Lololol 1954 is the year all of their military tech is from.
A gun from 1954 is still as deadly as one today.
Please oh wise master, inform us lesser-mortals on the workings of globalisation.
1) US can totally not pay anything to China cuz US is so badass 2) China is evil it has deathcamps and commies and USA has never done anything bad 3) China is some 4th world country that USA could beat lefthanded and blindfolded 4) China will give a fuck if UN says "nono" for sanctions
A gun from 1954 is still as deadly as one today.
But newer ones are still mostly better, and easier to create, which means more of them can be used at a time.
lankist you bastard, always having your internet argurments
But newer ones are still mostly better, and easier to create, which means more of them can be used at a time.
What are you on to here, production rates aren't important if there is 1 billion rifles at service.
:911: Oh wait, we don't care, as long as someone buys weapons, we're good.
The Chinese government can go suck off a donkey. I still find it ridiculous that we've made ourselves so dependent on a foreign country that fundamentally opposes everything America stands for.
America also stands for free markets. And part of that is buying the best offer. And I guess the oh so high ideals of freedom didn't stand a chance when it came unbeatable prices based on cheap manpower.
1) America is dumb and does nothing right. 2) America thinks it's perfect 3) I have absolutely no reading comprehension and pay little attention unless it's necessary to get the last word in. 4) ???? 5) Profit.
That's what you really mean.
1) US can totally not pay anything to China cuz US is so badass 2) China is evil it has deathcamps and commies and USA has never done anything bad 3) China is some 4th world country that USA could beat lefthanded and blindfolded 4) China will give a fuck if UN says "nono" for sanctions
I can't figure out if you're agreeing with me or joking. So, I'll just nod mutely and agree with you.
Hey guys, why don't we sanction a world superpower because they said some stuff we didn't think was nice. :banjo:
America doesn't kill its own citizens with tanks and death buses and then pretend it never happened.
Nah, America uses syringes and boast about it instead. Also America is the greatest they can take on anything fuck them commies we'll kill them all and let god sort them out :911: The above is a sarcastic hyperbole (not that much of a hyperbole though) of some of the answers in this thread, it's not my opinion in case someone was thinking that.
That's what you really mean.
Aha, oh wow, I apparently forgot to use sarcmark in the text.
Clearly none of you have any experience being poor. There comes a point where it just starts being funny. It's like "fuck it, I didn't pay the electricity bill. Shut it down, jesus." We are reaching that point as a nation.
I'm fucking sick of ramen.
Lololol 1954 is the year all of their military tech is from.
Today's PLA is a different story from what you've read or watched about PVA volunteers during the Korean War. That said they do still have a shitload to Type 59 tanks and MiG-21 clones, but they use them as often as today's US Army uses M60 Pattons. But then military tech isn't everything. If the PRC's officers are smart, they'll easily overcome the firepower and attrition oriented tactics the US military and most of the West are used to.
The true somnambulant person is he who does not realize he is asleep.
America also stands for free markets. And part of that is buying the best offer. And I guess the oh so high ideals of freedom didn't stand a chance when it came unbeatable prices based on cheap manpower.
We live in a world where the sound of a cash register rings louder than the shot of a gun.
We live in a world where the sound of a cash register rings louder than the shot of a gun.
God bless for silencers.
If they can sell shit to Iran, we can sell shit to Taiwan. [sp]Hey that rhymed[/sp]
But newer ones are still mostly better, and easier to create, which means more of them can be used at a time.
Gun designs from 1908 are still, world over, the most popular and most sought after for sport, military, and civilian use. The 1911 being a prime example. Look at the AK47... It was designed in 1947. I don't think it's really lacking too much in the field.
If you don't believe me, take a look at Germany. They tried to wage a war on the entire world, twice, look how that turned out.
They rebuilt their fucking country from the shitpile it had been in after the treaty of Versailles. Then, later on, their leaders made a multitude of poor strategic decisions, and they collapsed after finally being hit with a multitude of forces from all sides. Plus they had this thing going on that escalated over time, hogging supply lines, supplies, manpower and time- you might have heard of it, little event called the Holocaust. Hot damn, you people need to learn more of WWII than "Axis lost, Allies won." The economic recovery Germany pulled out its ass before and going into WWII was fucking amazing. It was general ineptitude on all fronts well after the war was on that broke their economy, not some cunting sanctions.
And then radical shifts happen in our political landscape.
in favor of the state :downs: seriously. for the last 60 years every time we got into a war we used something to make it look justified and make us look good.
This is only military-related trade- which I imagine weren't all that important anyways since the US does restrict arms trade anyways from an act after the Tienanmen Square protests. China's main trade with the US lies with cheaply manufactured consumer goods. If they cut that, we could all be concerned. Nothing to see here though. China doesn't rely on foreign military arms for its armed forces.
