Why do you guys support this? Get the US the fuck out of Libya, we don't need another war in the middle east.
Simply bombing their AA so we can have jets flying over to prevent their airstrikes is hardly another war, I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, even the FRENCH are helping.
Why do you guys support this? Get the US the fuck out of Libya, we don't need another war in the middle east.
The US is just as against another war. They haven't deployed any ground troops and have explicitly stated they don't want to get into another war. All they are doing now is blowing the shit out of Gaddafi's forces and letting the Rebels get the upper-hand. All with direct UN approval and with the help of numerous different countries, just so it is made clear this is not imperialistic action by the tyrannical US.
I don't think they're so much aiming to win it outright but to just tip the scales in the rebels favour, or at least take out the heavy equipment. What happens after that is up to the rebels but with a lot of Gaddafi's forces knocked out, should be a bit easier.
Refer to what I said about Gaddafi preversing combat power. If he fervently does so, probably in his major cities then the allies will have a harder time bombing what they can see. We can hope that Gaddafi is as stupid as Saddam (who though that static WWI defenses against a highly mobile armored force was a good idea) and will place all of his forces out on the wide open desert.
Why do you guys support this? Get the US the fuck out of Libya, we don't need another war in the middle east.
Airstrikes and cruise missiles do not a war make. In addition, instead of leading this effort like in Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. is freeing itself from the responsibility for nation-building in Libya, instead paving the way for the Libyans to do so.

Even in preserving his forces, it greatly restricts what he can do. It does not finish it, but these attacks are certainly assisting in the rebel's effort.
Why do you guys support this? Get the US the fuck out of Libya, we don't need another war in the middle east.
You mean why do we support action against bombing civilians?

No, why do we support helping people free themselves from a tyrant.
Nothing comes close to the sexyness of the SR-71:
I just can't see this folding out as simple as just destroying AAA placements and libyan armed forces using airstrikes and the revolution groups live happily ever after. It's going to get messy when guddafi is ousted and all these protesters, which were all unified because of hatred for guddafi, suddenly have their own agendas and all sorts of groups start vieing for power
Ughh so nothing significant happened during night?
The US has the ability to move large numbers of aircraft's into the sea very close to Libya, most of Europe does not have this ability.
Last time I checked, aircraft won't work very well under water :v:

Who thought that building a plane that looked like that was a good idea? I mean it looks awesome but it's not exactly subtle
LOL just like that mishun in black ops lol! Who thought that building a plane that looked like that was a good idea? I mean it looks awesome but it's not exactly subtle
Subtlety has never been the US's strong point.
LOL just like that mishun in black ops lol! Who thought that building a plane that looked like that was a good idea? I mean it looks awesome but it's not exactly subtle
Who needs subtlety when you can enter and exit the field of view of anyone in the blink of an eye.
LOL just like that mishun in black ops lol! Who thought that building a plane that looked like that was a good idea? I mean it looks awesome but it's not exactly subtle
It's the best spy plane in the world, and it flies at 90,000 feet. Doesn't really matter what it looks like when it's that high. And for the record, I've never played black ops.
Ughh so nothing significant happened during night?
Some cool AA fireworks.

1 tomahawk missile costs $569000 569000 x 110 = $62,590,000 That had been a lot of obama care, this got to be worth more then just liberating the people.

But right now i only started to make my tin foil hat, might just bake a potato.

It's a lot of money, but is 63Mil too much for the freedom of over a million people? If so, you place a human life at under 60 dollars. Nice going.

We bought those things already, YEARS ago
I'm just saying that there probably will be oil or some other commodity or political favour in the end. But right now i only started to make my tin foil hat, might just bake a potato.
the removal of an insane dictator making way for a possible political ally assloads of good press the chance to justify spending hojillions of dollars on military equipment I mean I'm sure there's some eighty year old corporate executive wringing his hands thinking about how he can institute Dickensian child labor factories in the chaos but hey the human race is made of bastards
I'm just saying that there probably will be oil or some other commodity or political favour in the end.
Um, we don't Buy them just before using them, it's not Command and Conquer... We bought those things already, YEARS ago
Well then how come the combat is taking place in a yellow zone, huh?
It has been confirmed that Michael Jackson is now involved: CHA'MONE GADDAFI!

This may make me sound like a complete idiot, but why do those planes have mushrooms on them?
