You mean every song is the same? Cause, from the top of my head, Heavy Metal Pirate, No Quarter, Famous old Spiced,Nancy the tavern wrench and Keelhauled aren't what you described, at all.

I mean Alestorm is obviously a band made for fun but that doesn't make it any worse, and doesn't give any reason to be straight up unfair towards them.

I'm not being unfair, I'm being as fair as you can be by judging them on the same criteria I judge all music. they are by definition a one trick pony, they've written themselves into a corner as a band and no amount of amicability is going to change the fact that every album they have is just variations on a theme that's already played out.
