Because being booted out onto the streets at 18 with all the shit going on in the world is what these people need. What are they going to do if shit happens and they are left with no place to live? Alot of 18 year olds are staying home because, you know, it's fucking cheaper than paying for your own place while doing college/startingyourfuckingadultlife.
Actually, read the article again, it's just one jackass trying to get out of child support payments by using the law to evict his ex's daughter. What a piece of shit.
This just in! All of World of Warcrafts italian player population suddenly dissapeared!
I turn 19 in a few days, still live with my parents. :frown: I also have a fill time job and I'm going to school, but hell, it's not like I want to live here forever.

Now I'm not one of those for the "Absolutely no government influence anywhere!", but this is just stupid, how the hell are you supposed to be able to leave your parents house at 18 unless they had loads of money they gave you? Sure you can work your ass off and take a loan, but that's just stupid and the loan will bite you in the ass later in life. [editline]09:45AM[/editline]
How does a 30yr old guy get laid at his parents' house? "Come on back to my mom's place with me, she should be asleep by now"? "When you blow me don't make slurping noises or it'll wake up my dad and he'll be angry"? "You can stay the night, I have bunk beds in my room"?
You tell the parents to get the fuck out for the weekend, that's what most people I knew did.
Weak parents, they shouldn't need a law to throw their kids out. I'm 18yr old and I live at home, but I'm starting uni this year so I will most likely move out. I can assure you my dad would throw me out if I'm still living at my parents when I'm 20...
I'm 18 and still going to school, how would I pay for my own flat? Not everyone quits school after 9 years.
You are BIG BABY!
Oh no I'm such a baby because I can't afford to move out, what's Italy's email address so I can request that they send me some money.
No chance am I moving anytime soon.
Because everyone at the age of 18 has finished school and can afford their own house, right Italy?
In Singapore, you have to be MARRIED and be over 21 years old with a stable income of over $1000 to own a house! Those Italians should count themselves lucky that their country isn't as expensive as Singapore
I'm nineteen and still live with my parents. It's all according to plan though since i'm saving so much money on it. once i actually move out i'm gonna have a fat account filled with money!
Yeah living home at 18, what's the big deal. Especially when you study / have a shit job and no money. If you are over 30 or so then it's a problem.
When are you done school in Italy? I'm still in high school and I'm 18. :/
There is the Asilo (Kinder Garten), Elementare (Primary school), Medie (Medium School) and then the Superiori (Superior school), after these you can go to a University, academy or wherever. The Superior school ends at 19 but school itself is obligatory only until you finished the Medium school.
If the parents are ok with it I don't see how the government can have a say at all
they should call your primary school inferiori
I don't see how this benefits anyone.
One more reason not to move to Italy then i guess, sucks for my friend, he went over last september.
Funny that my parents are going to be moving out and leaving the apartment to me.
But Ezio Auditoire from AC2 was 19 or so and lived with his parents, he was doing great.
Its up to the parents to decide, not the government, so fuck off.
ITP: Over 18 year old living with his parents.
Now, a government minister -- who has admitted that his mother made his bed for him until he was 30 -- has called for a new law that will force this generation of eternal adolescents to leave home when they turn 18. "I don't see what's wrong with passing a law that says all over-18s should leave home and not be a drain on their parents' resources," Public Administration Minister Renato Brunetta said during an interview with Italian radio.
Obviously Mr. Minister's living in his own Hollywood-style fantasy. He should look out the window, see the shit going on around him, maybe learn a bit more about family values while he's at it. I'm bound to my parent's home because I can't leave my dog behind, it's only 5 blocks from campus, and I haven't secured a job yet that's outside of the university.
I'd love to move out the day i turn 18, even though i have a job i doubt i'll have enough money to.
I share half a house with my parents, it's divided... It's the only thing I can afford currently since my last job axed 70% of their employs and I'm stuck driving a school bus. (Making about 1/10th what I did before.) Better than starving to death homeless... I don't really cost them anything though beyond the space I take up.
I don't see a problem with living at home as long as you pitch in. As mentioned before there are a number of people going to universities who would rather stay at home than get separate housing, particularly in these conditions. Now if you just sit around and let everyone do things for you, yeah, there's a problem.
Shit, I'm probably staying with my parents until I'm married. But it's probably less weird than a dude living with his parents until he's married. Nobody really calls a girl a loser if she's still living at home.
