That law being enforced would suck for a good portion of university students who live at home
Im sure there would be exceptions in special circumstances. Can-a I live with you for-a the rest of-a my life?? :q:
Last time i checked italians spoke italian :smug:
Are you joking? I couldn't leave my parent's house even if I wanted to, there's no fucking way I could ever afford my own place in this economic climate.
I'm sorry, but who is this guy to say when I have to leave my parents house, surely it is my parents choice, not some politicians. I have no intension to stay with my parents for the rest of my life, but I'm going to need a cheap place to stay when I go to uni, and the cheapest way to get around this without giving up any freedoms is staying here.
The problem that this idiot doesn't realise is that things are WAY too expensive now to move out at 18. Maybe if he wants people to move out this early he should actually make it affordable to move out at that age. When your deposit for a first house can be $100,000 or more, how the hell can you move out at 18? [editline]09:25AM[/editline] And even if it was very affordable to move out at 18, this kind of thing is NOT for the government to decide.
I got lucky, just moved into my own apartment(18), paying 162£/265$/188€ a month. Power and water included. I have some money saved up from when I worked, so I'll be fine while looking for a new one. I don't even know if it is necessary, I'm going into the army come august, and my money should last till then. Honestly, it feels good to live alone, and I urge anyone who can afford it to do it.
That's the thing though. If you rent, it will take forever to save up for a house. I'd rather move out at 21 or whatever if it means I get to live in a house without renting.
Italy lol
Everyone who says they can't afford it, Suck it up, I moved out of home 3 months before year 12 ended. And I'm doing fine.

Wow, this is really dumb. Fuck Italy.
Dang, I was still in high school when I turned 18. I'm only 19 now, and I still live at home. I might be making enough now to move out, but I'm not so sure.
Mamma! Mamma! I don't want-a work! Can-a I live with you for-a the rest of-a my life?? :q:
i can guarantee that italian accent is not like that.
If you really think this will be enforced, then you don't know anything about Italy.
Isn't the idea that you live with your parents while you work and pay off your student debts or whatever, then move out when you're comfortable and financially able to do so?
Got abandoned by my parents a couple weeks after I turned 18. I didn't have a damn choice but to move out. It forces you to grow up a lot faster than you should have to.

I think the whole experience of living with your mom/family to grow up. You can still live with your parents, have a good job, and such. But still sad though. I'm over 18, jeez, and now live with my dad, but but he still doesn't want me out his basement :smug:
