Android beats iOS in many ways, especially in terms of freedom
Can you not unlock carriers normally in the US? Also ad removal is already available, and I know there's 1Password for a password solution probably others too. Not fully sure what banned apps you'd want, but providing it's a free app that's only available in another country you can just sign up with an iTunes account registered for said country. Themes are nice. Not sure what you'd want to do with location faking unless you're cheating Pokemon Go
tbh I don't know why you're trying to disprove the usefulness of jailbreaking.

Anything that gets rejected from the App Store for one reason or another. Another application of location faker is tinder :smug:
Best way to backup all tweaks and stuff?? I'm on 9.0.2 and want to upgrade
Well, you get themes, element replacement, etc., ad removal, location faking, unlocked carriers, banned apps, password solutions.... That's the short list. Jb isn't just emulators, and the GBA thing works on 9.3.3 anyhow
you can't unlock a phone simply through jailbreak anymore [editline]25th July 2016[/editline] Ad removal is a thing on ios 9 also anyways I personally only really use jailbreak for TetherMe so I can tether a VPN data source to bypass carrier tethering restrictions
Best way to backup all tweaks and stuff?? I'm on 9.0.2 and want to upgrade
No good way to backup tweaks, but when you do a backup on itunes all of your settings for tweaks are saved.
No good way to backup tweaks, but when you do a backup on itunes all of your settings for tweaks are saved.
okay I fucked up and didn't save a list of all my installed tweaks, but if the settings are all here (which they are) where can I find a list of all the things it has settings for?
I actually didn't mind using my iPhone unjailbroken. Wasn't that bad. I guess it depends on what you use your phone for.
I like iOS and just feel that it's much better designed than android but fuck I'm just not going to support a company that does this shit.
wow backupaz actually saved a list of it all in a .old file. Thank lord now time to figure all these out
Huh, they finally did it. Been waiting so long for this :excited:
Bump, the jailbreak now supports iPad Pro and iPod Touch 6G! I expected it to take a week or two, but I guess PanguTeam work quick
Where's the english version? They said soon...
For some reason when installing or uninstalling tweaks it makes all my app store apps disappear including the pangu one. They are still on the phone and come back after a while on the other screens, does anyone know a way to get them back right away? I feel like I randomly get them back after some time. Why do they disappear too? I never had this problem with my 9.0.2 JB

Anyhow, here's how you do it if you're lazy: [editline]27th July 2016[/editline] Also, get rid of the pack-in:
If you're experiencing problems with PP Assistant try http://onlinejailbreak.com :)
If you're experiencing problems with PP Assistant try http://onlinejailbreak.com :)
Site is dead, Apple has revoked the cert used for this.
Site is dead, Apple has revoked the cert used for this.
Ah shit. It was good while it lasted. I'm sure a new one will come out soon.
English version is here, you just insert the pangu app via Cydia Impactor. It's self signed (read: you use your own Apple ID, I trust saurik's tool MUCH more than PP with my credentials here), and you have the re-sign Pangu's app every 7 days. I guess that isn't a problem if you don't turn your phone off often. There is no PP app.
So this won't work on my iPhone 5, am I correct? :(
So this won't work on my iPhone 5, am I correct? :(
Yeah, iPhone 5 is 32-bit. You'll need to wait until the jailbreak is ported to 32-bit (if that even happens) or you'll just need to buy a better phone.

There is no PP app.
Pangu's PP PC sideloading application is causing a stir in /r/jailbreak - apparently because despite the majority agreeing you should use a burner Apple ID, certain people used their real logins where the password was also used with other services like Paypal. If you use Saurik's Cydia Impactor, or something like iFunBox to sideload, it'd be a darn lot safer than installing an application that most of us can't even read. Personally, I've sideloaded the Chinese IPA and immediately removed the PP App Store from Cydia in order to get the 1-year enterprise cert on two of my household devices.
