doge ran rampant on tumblr but the beauty of that site is that if you're not following fangirls or "lmao follow me for cool memes :)" things, they'll only post the good content they come across and you'll get a nice filtering of the good/stupidly funny things, and rarely get repeats. Doge lasted a good while for me and even now the only annoying things I come across are people using the "much X. Very Y" format to comment on everything, and even then it's sparse what I'm saying is follow me for cool memes

When I listen to people saying the word and inserting it in place of the proper word and laughing at their own jokes because they're so trendy to know the meme and so use it at every opportunity, it becomes an issue. Also, doge is actually a fucking word already. It refers to the elected lord of a city. Usually a major Italian city during the period between 1200 AD and 1800 AD.
