Motherfucker, I thought this was a joke. All I saw was "Dogecoin" out the corner of my eye and I thought it wasn't real.
[del]Fuck this meme-driven society.[/del] God bless America.
Technically, all societies are meme-driven, in that a "meme" is a unit of cultural information. But it got weird when society at large started adopting 4chan memes without a proper understanding of 4chan's culture (leading people to copy catch phrases and images without understanding the biting irony in how they're usually used on 4chan).
Well in ancient Sumer they used to use cow pies as currency, for everything else, theres MasterCard.
god you just reminded me how much i miss those commercials
they truly ruled

Is my PORTNUMBER and User ID the same when it comes to the pool's in Dogecoin.?
It's going to fall.
Also it's literally bitcoins with a meme slapped on it.
People are buying dogecoins with Bitcoins, so dogecoin is actually the best altcoin to mine right now in terms of profitability.
This shit's funny.

ftfy
Facepunch sure loves to make fucking stupid ignorant post about Bitcoin but now everyone here is mining doge like it's the best thing ever.
God I fucking hate this site sometimes...
Be careful with the miners you use, it seems some miners also include malware. It would make much sense for someone to create a botnet of miners that uses your hardware to post some of the ecurrency you mine into their account.

Umm, I dunno, port is 3333 for dogecoinpool.com, and user ID is your worker ID?
So, wait. Are you guys taking this seriously?
So, wait. Are you guys taking this seriously?
Not really, but it's so volatile that there's a chance you can take advantage of a brief spike in the DOGE/BTC exchange rate.
So how do I get started on this? I wanna mine!

I think they are, This thread and the Dogecoin thread in Videos and Flash Movies are greasy and sweaty as all hell right now.
I can't believe people actually think this will just magically generate money for them.

Not magically but at the end of the day I'm going to have 10k coins by doing nothing. Its not like I'm losing something.
watch all the people who missed out on bitcoin buy millions of these and ruin their lives

though if this also turns people into millionaires i'll consider killing myself
Well thing is... Seeing its current value is so low, buying for say 15 bucks, will provide you with 150k(ish) doges. So it "only" needs to go up to 1 doge = 1 dollar for you to make good money on this. And not much more to be a millionaire. Of course it might not happen, but 15 bucks is worth the risk imo. Virtual currency WILL be a part of the future. This is just the early stages.

Fiat currency is also virtual and it's already here and widely spread in the form of visas and mastercards.

Pretty much. 15 bucks is nothing and even if doge doesn't rise in value you will only lose 15 bucks.

Good luck actually buying any unless you already have some BTC laying around.

if you think that a significant portion of the people currently "involved" in dogecoin are doing it because they believe it'll make them rich, then congratulations, you've fallen for it
