All the theories are outlandish. DURR ISREEL IS GENOCIDING DURR TERKEE IS TREYEIN TO START WORE DURR HAMAS ES CONSPIRCAY
No, Gmod. Just no. Saying things in a funny voice has never been a means of argument. It doesn't make any idea you say it in as dumb as what you just said.

I thought Israel was suposed to be cool. Nvm. They Still Are.
christ you're stupid
Projectionism
noooo he just thinks you're an idiot
noooo he just thinks you're an idiot
Yes, but the sad fact is that he thinks that because he is an idiot himself, and since he can't comprehend that, he is projecting his own idiocy on me.
now you're just spewing shit in every direction
now you're just spewing shit in every direction
Really, maybe you should watch that video I posted up there where an activist on the boat says they'll either reach Gaza or become martyrs. I think it's just you who doesn't want to let the facts get in the way of your narrative.
I don't really trust any video. Splicing film to support your views is as easy as fuck these days.
Really, because I saw that footage on the interview with that activist on the flotilla elsewhere before I saw it in this video. Unless you're taking the standard FP route of "if it goes against my desired view I will claim it didn't happen". Just because you want to believe that Israel is evil and Palestinians are all innocent victims doesn't make it true.

I do think they crossed a line and should be reprimanded as such.
What is the strategic value of Israel again?
I don't believe Israel is evil. I do think they crossed a line and should be reprimanded as such.
I don't think they crossed a line, they were protecting their military blockade and they should only be reprimanded for how they carried out their operation. Dropping soldiers one by one into a rabid mob to get ripped to pieces was the most idiotic thing they could have done.

If they reached Gaza, win for the people there. If Israel interfered, political win.
I've mentioned this before but I have loads of family in israel. I don't the country to go anywhere.
I've mentioned this before but I have loads of family in israel. I don't the country to go anywhere. [editline]10:13PM[/editline] The convoy called itself as a purely aid mission. Or am I wrong?
If it was purely an aid mission then why did they prepare weapons? Why did they say in interviews that they wanted to become martyrs? Why were they chanting about how they want to kill thousands of Jews? Why did the predominantly Muslim Turkish boat attack the IDF soldiers and none of the others did? Why did they embark in the first place with full knowledge that all of this would happen? Aid mission my ass...
The reason I'm outraged is that Israel attacked a ship in international water and killed nine people. Given that those are facts, there's really no way to sway my opinion. The way they claim the crew "attacked" them makes it even worse to me. It's like when that burglar in Arkansas sued the owner of the house he was robbing because he tripped over a table and broke his hip.

Israel said that they were breaching a military blockade and would be boarded if they did not turn back or go to Ashdod, they refused. 5 of the other boats didn't refuse, their cargo was unloaded and transported to Gaza, and their passengers returned home. The comparison would more go some psycho was trying to ram his car into your house so you pulled him and out and got charged with carjacking.
If it was purely an aid mission then why did they prepare weapons?
They looked like weapons you could find on any ship
Why did they say in interviews that they wanted to become martyrs?
opinions of the few do not count for all on the ship.
Why were they chanting about how they want to kill thousands of Jews?
Some of them really don't like jews
Why did the predominantly Muslim Turkish boat attack the IDF soldiers and none of the others did?
Turkish relations with israel have soured as of late
Why did they embark in the first place with full knowledge that all of this would happen?
maybe they didn't care
Israel said they would escort them to Ashdod to unload their cargo, they refused.
They looked like weapons you could find on any ship
Didn't know loads of slingshots and knives were standard ship necessities.
opinions of the few do not count for all on the ship.
And not all on the ship attack the IDF, and not all on the ship were killed by the IDF, just the ones who wanted to become martyrs who attacked the IDF.
Some of them really don't like jews
Nope, they don't.
Turkish relations with israel have soured as of late
That's because Turkey is 99% Muslim, and you know how much Muslims love Israel.
maybe they didn't care
If you say they don't care that they are putting their lives in danger by embarking on this mission, then doesn't that kind of prove my point? That if they reach Gaza that's good but if they die, well that would be alright too?
What? That analogy's not even close.
Ok, how about this one. The cops full over a van full of people, some of them become violent and start beating the shit out of the cop. The cop uses his weapon and shoots some of them. The cop is then charged with murder, all the people in the van testify against the cop for being excessively violent and the entire sitiation is blown out of proportion. Then someone calls police misconduct because he was a few kms out of his jurisdiction and blames the entire police force and government.
What? That analogy's not even close.
House = Israel You = IDF Car = flotilla Psycho = activists The activists were trying to ram their flotilla into the IDF's Israel, so the IDF pulled them out of their flotilla and got charged with piracy/murder by the world.

Turkish relations with israel have soured as of late
That's because Turkey is 99% Muslim, and you know how much Muslims love Israel.
More to it than that.
More to it than that
There definitely is, but I would consider that a major factor, I would say that discounting it would be disingenuous.
Didn't know loads of slingshots and knives were standard ship necessities.
Well metal bars are certainly normal with building supplies and slingshots aren't really that big of weapon, more of a kids toy.
That's because Turkey is 99% Muslim, and you know how much Muslims love Israel.
Turkey is pretty secular compared to other Muslim countries. They were actually in better relations with Israel than most of the Muslim world so it's not like they are fanatics.
If you say they don't care that they are putting their lives in danger by embarking on this mission, then doesn't that kind of prove by point? That if they reach Gaza that's good but if they die well that would be alright too?
Putting your life in danger doesn't mean you want to die. Some of them did think being a martyr would be good but I don't think everyone who died thought that. Hamas said that it was a win-win situation but very few actually onboard would have agreed.
.
Uh, no. They were en route to starving people with food and supplies until they were boarded and captured. Given that they had no intentions regarding Israel whatsoever, the analogy doesn't work. The only country who seems to even acknowledge the blockade as legitimate is the United States. (Which is understandable... we have invested a lot of money in your country, so it'd be silly to give you billions of dollars one minute and disagree with you the other.)
