Did you even read starpluck's views?
I did, but apparently I skipped over that part. It's not really a good anology, in terms of pure size. I still think though that this (the attack of Israle against this ship) is the same thing as a criminal investigating his own case. We shouldn't bring in the holocaust into this whole thing at all, that's what I wanted to say.

And let's face it, Israel treats Palestinians in a very similar way to how Hitler treated the jews.

But seriously, nations often investigate themselves. And they're more likely to be impartial than if they had an independent investigation with input from nations affected in the attack.
Well, there goes my respect for Obama.

I think this is one of the saddest post-WWII storys, that the people who suffered that much do (nearly) the same thing to another group of people.

Also, Nations that were any way involved, whether they were attacked or whether they were the attackers, and also allies of the attackers or those attacked, can not be in any way involved with an impartial investigation. If you committed murder and were asked to investigate it, would you really want to get yourself convicted? Or would you destroy/hide/omit evidence?
This doesn't really change the fact that Turkey is sending in Warships no matter what with the next flotilla. Unless I missed news stating otherwise. All of this is boiling down to a massive game of chicken between two gas tankers on a highway doing 300km/h. The U.S. decision here is absolutely ridiculous. If they so staunchly believe what they're saying now, they would have let Al Qaeda run their own inquiry into 9/11 and determine what was up.

The more crimes they commit, the more difficult it becomes for the West to defend them. This will all come to a head very, very soon.

Turkey is a member of N.A.T.O., which, like the U.N., is pretty much owned by the U.S. If they invoke Article 5 like the U.S. did during 9/11, it could be some serious shit, or the U.S. will just drown the entire thing will bullshit and favouritism for Israel. It's forks in the road leading to forks in the road leading to the Arch de Triomphe's roundabout.
Try and research the ghettos Jews were forced into after Hitler came into power.
Yes I know, but until Israel starts the systematic mass-murder of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip (which by the way, will not happen), then a comparison between Hitler and Israel is unjustified.
Also, Nations that were any way involved, whether they were attacked or whether they were the attackers, and also allies of the attackers or those attacked, can not be in any way involved with an impartial investigation. I don't believe theres any middleground in your criteria. This is an Israeli military fuckup. They need to investigate the actions of their military, and will do so with impartiality. Israel realise the importance of this investigation as they know the huge damage in their reputation. A military fuck up is not for other nations to investigate. For instance, the Mai Lai Massacure was investigated by the U.S. Army...
Yeah mate - Israel has setup gas chambers and is mass-murdering them, one by one.
i can't believe you called someone else ignorant
i can't believe you called someone else ignorant
If you're going to make that claim, at least substantiate it.
Are you that ignorant? I'm not attempting to excuse any of the actions that took place a few days ago, I am merely pointing out that comparisons should not be made to the massacres commissioned by leaders such as Hitler and Saddam Hussein... as these people died under a flag rather than for their beliefs.
Did I offend you somehow? I asked a question cause I wondered what part of the analogy you was questioning. Excuse me princess.
For instance, the Mai Lai Massacure was investigated by the U.S. Army...
Yes, who did in fact impartially determine that the entire thing was a disgusting massacre. Many of the higher-ups involved with it, however, kept the event under wraps and away from actual Investigators or heads of government to avoid persecution. In this case, the entire Israeli government is at fault, not just a few soldiers off their leash. They've spent their entire time defending their actions, from every level of government. Why would an 'impartial' investigation suddenly read different, especially when run by these same people?

I really hope I'm wrong and I'm just being paranoid. :tinfoil:
Did I offend you somehow? I asked a question cause I wondered what part of the analogy you was questioning. Excuse me princess.
Whatever - and yeah, my feelings are really hurt, because you insulted a nation I have nothing to do with.
If you're going to make that claim, at least substantiate it.
no, i can't really tell if you were trying to be witty or serious
I however fear that US will infact come to their defenses. Leading to a all out war. I really hope I'm wrong and I'm just being paranoid. :tinfoil:
Haha, a typical Facepunch response. All out war. hahaha
I however fear that US will infact come to their defenses. Leading to a all out war. I really hope I'm wrong and I'm just being paranoid. :tinfoil:
The US already has a shit reputation without it being remembered for defending crimes against humanity.
no, i can't really tell if you were trying to be witty or serious
I'm dead serious... now explain.
Whatever - and yeah, my feelings are really hurt, because you insulted a nation I have nothing to do with.
Seems to me you're very defensive to whatever everyone else say about Israel. Forgive me princess if I misunderstood.

All the evidence is available freely on the internet thanks to technology that was not around during the Vietnam war, so an impartial investigation could take place after Israel has commissioned theirs.
I'm only defensive because apparently everyone on this forums knows better than military and political figures...
I don't blindly follow or trust anyone with a suit and a title. Especially since I'm convinced they don't ever tell the public the whole story. However, in this and other cases, Israel's actions speak for themselves, the words of political leaders only add unnecessary commentary. As for military figures, are you actually saying it was a GOOD call to fire on and then board a flagged turkish aid vessel in non-territorial waters? It doesn't take someone with a star on their lapel or a degree in political science to figure out that was a very bad move.
Seems to me you're very defensive to whatever everyone else say about Israel. Forgive me princess if I misunderstood.
Why are you calling him princess If he's your princess, you should respect him or he'll have your head Not to mention that as a princess he has more experience about politics than you Princesses are also pretty
I'm dead serious... now explain.
it's just the fact you were so seriously butthurt about archangel doing a small comparison to hitler, that you just had to make the incredible assumption thinking he meant the killing of jews?
it's just the fact you were so seriously butthurt about archangel doing a small comparison to hitler, that you just had to make the incredible assumption thinking he meant the killing of jews?
Comparing something to Hitler and the Holocaust generally does mean killing jews
... Idiots.
it's just the fact you were so seriously butthurt about archangel doing a small comparison to hitler, that you just had to make the incredible assumption thinking he meant the killing of jews?
Obviously you're just as ignorant as the other person, because I was responding to starpluck's claims, which you can find in the OP. Nevertheless, it is a small comparison, but we might as well correct it seeing as how we shouldn't be drawing links between the actions of Israel and Judaism.
Comparing something to Hitler and the Holocaust generally does mean killing jews
i'm not talking about the overall picture

AFTER the UN does their investigation.
