Can't wait to see what our friends at FOX have to say about this.
Here is my thoughts on what should happen with the tax system . The tax code should be re-written with emphasis being put on reducing the number of tax breaks for large companies. In addition the tax of the lower class should be lowered while the middle class remains the same. A re-written tax code is key, as it is to the point where even the people who regulate the tax system do not understand it. Large companies will actually hire people to find loopholes in taxes. In some ways I think America should have some sort of middle party. Having only two parties creates the whole "You are either with us or against us," atmosphere, plus only one or the other will have the majority.

It'll make things less confusing, and it (should) close any loopholes. EDIT: Like, "If you (meaning person and company) make over blah amount of money, you must pay insert amount here to the government.
Give relief to the middle-class, quite possibly the hardest hit class in this economy?? What a stupid idea! Fuck you Obama, pandering to the Republicans. Also please read the speech. I know it's not 100% fair because we're talking about information we heard on the Speech, and you only have the article to work with, but he goes into a lot of detail and makes a lot of good points. Including mentioning how Warren Buffet is calling for the removal of wealthy tax breaks.
obviously someone did not pay attention in economics class. if the middle class has no money to spend because they don't have jobs, the upper class and small business owners won't expand their businesses to hire more people. then employment stagnates and the lower class can't get any jobs because no businesses will want to hire employees because there are no potential customers to give them money for services. repeat this cycle over and over for a few years and shit breaks. also the actual act is here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/files/jobsact.pdf
I really don't like how people love to talk about how great Lincoln was as a Republican. Sure the name of the party is the same but the ideology has 180'ed since then. Republicans then were today's Dems. Sure it helps Obama's point and all but for fucks sake can nobody ever point that fact out? When this passes it will be the best thing Obama has done as president.
So... this "jobs" bill... is that jobs for all of us, or jobs for anyone lucky enough to be employed in the construction industry? It seemslike they think that throwing billions of dollars towards roads and other infrastructure constitutes creating "jobs."

This speech is all talk. Let's see if this "amazing bill that will fix everything" actually goes through, and if it goes through if it will actually work as perfectly as Obama preaches. I'm not trying to be against anything he talked about in the speech, but just because he says all of these great-sounding things doesn't mean they're necessarily going to be enacted correctly. Actions speak louder than words, and it sure seems like we've had a lot more words over the past 3 years than we've had actual actions.
This speech is all talk.
Did you expect charades?
This speech is all talk. He specifically said this bill isn't going to "fix everything", and that it's not a "silver bullet" or anything like that, it's just the best direction we can go in right now, given the political climate.
Michelle Bachman will create more jobs than Obama ever will. Bachman 2012!!1
It's funny how obvious the trolling is.
Who is the guy to the left, sitting behind Obama? He looks like he is legit in the video and is actually listening.
Who is the guy to the left, sitting behind Obama? He looks like he is legit in the video and is actually listening.
That's Joe Biden, the Vice President.
Who is the guy to the left, sitting behind Obama? He looks like he is legit in the video and is actually listening.
Obama's left or the camera's?
That's Joe Biden, the Vice President.
Wow I'm a ignorant fuck when it comes to our countries 'representatives.' Anyway, Biden seems like a cool guy just by his posture.
Wow I'm a ignorant fuck when it comes to our countries 'representatives.' Anyway, Biden seems like a cool guy just by his posture.
He's not the most formal politician, but he's a good guy I'd say.
I met Biden. He's a pretty damn cool guy, though I suppose with his job you'd have to be.
Wow I'm a ignorant fuck when it comes to our countries 'representatives.' Anyway, Biden seems like a cool guy just by his posture.
It's okay Biden is a pretty boring guy. [editline]9th September 2011[/editline] once you have dick cheney everything else seems bland in comparison
Wow I'm a ignorant fuck when it comes to our countries 'representatives.' Anyway, Biden seems like a cool guy just by his posture.
He is the coolest Vice President ever forever. Just look up the things he has said. Amazing.
The real question is, are they lowering the rent?
Are the republicans sitting in the back just clapping all the time so that he can't talk?
He is the coolest Vice President ever forever. Just look up the things he has said. Amazing.
The day he shoots and nearly kills someone is the day he overtakes Ol' Tricky Dick Cheney.
The day he shoots and nearly kills someone is the day he overtakes Ol' Tricky Dick Cheney.
But remember: It also has to be one of his friends.
Would have been awesome if he came out with this a year ago. [editline]9th September 2011[/editline] seems sorta late now
Wow I'm a ignorant fuck when it comes to our countries 'representatives.' Anyway, Biden seems like a cool guy just by his posture.
Not gonna lie, it saddened me a bit to see you not even know who your own vice president is.
It was a very good speech but I still really doubt that much will change regardless of whether this passes or not.
I can't wait to see how some of the Republicans try to snake their way out of this. I really can't wait to see how the fuck they try to explain why this is different from the plans they've supported and proposed before.
The real question is, are they lowering the rent?
They gotta lower the damn rent Sadly I don't see this working, even if it's balanced.
