If you've ever owned a dog, I think you'd sacrifice a human life to save it. People freak out because they know how innocent a pet can be. It's also not common for dogs to be killed by a person for enjoyment. I own a cat, and if I had to choose between two lives, my cat or some random person I'd never see I would choose my cat. It's the same with dogs, and it's also the same with your friends/girlfriend/boyfriend/parents/kids and so on.
You're fucked if you'd sacrifice some random innocent person for a cat, besides. These weren't peoples pets, they were puppies they were giving away. For the record I've had 3 dogs in the past and I've loved them alot but in the end, do we have funerals for our pets? Are livestock mourned for at the end of the day? No? Then why care about some shithead killing dogs for HIS entertainment, It's not like he broadcast it or anything. He could have just had some really warped views on the world, none of you knew him, he could have just been a complete lunatic yeah... But he probably wouldn't have done half the shit you guys are suggesting for punishment. I propose that it is you, Facepunch. That is a monster.
I hope you realize you hurt my feelings.
Good.

I'd bet my money he wouldn't have lost a wink of sleep doing the same thing to a person.
3. Ignore Da Jester. He's a troll. If you argue with him, then he wins. (I mean, fuck. Look at his event history)
But a good troll, at that. Sure as hell got you to notice him.
You're fucked if you'd sacrifice some random innocent person for a cat, besides.
To be honest, to save a cat over another humans life is pretty fucking low. Unless said human is sick enough to be be a rapist/killer and helpless. But still, pretty damn low even then, though, I still would allow exceptions.
Empathy is a trait almost impossible to ingrain within a person over 12 if they lack it. It's not chemicals: sociopaths are literally missing pieces of their brains. (Look at the brain-scans of serial-killers compared to a normal human's.) Most likely, this man can never be rehabilitated.
Sociopaths/psychopaths often come out of rehabilitation and therapy with new found skills on mimicing and manipulating others So basically therapy/rehabilitation does fuck all but help them in their malicious schemes but not all psychopaths and sociopaths are socially adept con-men. :v:

[editline]15th March 2011[/editline] "Hurr durr his opinion is completely different than everyone else's, he must be stupid! :downs:"
Here's the math I did when I first read the OP. You seem to have come to a completely different, and very erroneous conclusion. The guy is very obviously abusive to his girlfriend. He imprisons her, demeans her, threatens her. He makes his girlfriend watch as he mutilates and kills twenty-nine innocent animals in horrible ways. My thought? He was doing it to show her that he'd do the same thing to her if she stepped out of line. He would probably have done it to her anyway if he hadn't been caught. That was my conclusion. Think.

I believe there's more to this story, and the fact that the timeline seems strange made me have second thoughts about her testimony... that's why I think she's hiding something, hence she's a fuckbag too IMHO... too bad I can't prove it so I just have to keep it to myself.
but but but the puppies :ohdear:

You wouldn't be so quick to try leaving if you knew he wouldn't give a second thought about slitting your throat if you made an escape attempt.
Why do people do these things? And why do people on this thread try justifying his actions? Fuck you, you cold heartless bastards.
Why do people do these things? And why do people on this thread try justifying his actions? Fuck you, you cold heartless bastards.
Where in this thread did anyone try to defend him?
Where in this thread did anyone try to defend him?
First few pages. And I didn't say they defended him, but they tried to make it seem like what he did wasn't bad.

You'd never hear about it, and no one would know that it was your fault. Would you do this? I'm pretty sure I would. But I wouldn't if I had to kill the person myself brutally or something. Sacrifice sounds like you're going to cut the person in many bits, put the body parts in some circle and pray for something to revive your cat. I really don't care that much about this thread or dogs dying randomly as long as it isn't my own dog. If you think protecting something you love is fucked up, you're fucked up. You need this "ability" if you want to be able to protect your kids. But yes, I agree that it's fucked up to go crying all day because some random dog was eaten in China, or 29 puppies were killed in America. But it's also fucked up to not react at all. The issue here is having balance between not caring and caring too much I guess.

Because whether you know that person or not, it doesn't change the fact that he or she probably has a family of their own. Making that choice would still be a murder.
Protecting your kids and protecting a cat or dog are extremely far from eachother.
Obviously you love your children more than your pet. You'd still try to prevent your dog from being killed though, whether it's gonna take a human life may be going too far now that I think about it, but some of you sound as if you owned a dog and it got run over by a car or something, you'd just say "Whatever.." I'm thinking it's kind of the same with parents. I don't have kids, but I know that a lot of parents (including my own) can't stand child violence in movies or anything like that after they get children. I'm thinking it's the same deal with pets, but obviously not as much as your own kids. [editline]16th March 2011[/editline] I guess it depends on how emotionally affected you are v:smile:v
