I found it boring and generic.
How is it generic? The ruses mean a lot to the gameplay, although newbies seldom uses them enough. It's also a lot more strategically minded than most other RTS's which seem to be more tactical.
I don't believe this, I'm sure this is part of some clever R.U.S.E to make people buy more games
That's weird, I went the last 4 days with an unexpected internet outage and offline mode worked perfectly. [editline]02:18AM[/editline] With ubisofts DRM I would have not been able to play at all
For me offline mode works aslong as the internet connection drops after I have logged into steam online, if I want to start steam straight into offline mode it will tell me I don't have an internet connection.
I feel like buying this game just to tell Ubisoft they've made the right call ditching that shitty DRM.
Wait, this means that i can buy it!
They probably didn't see piracy numbers decline and decided to drop the stupid system.

The game usually just devolves into who has the most tanks, planes or artillary (infantry are completely useless). Everything they put in the game has been done before and has been done much better.

The ruses are integral to gameplay and are very useful is thought out and used properly - it is just a shame a lot of people either can't be bothered to use them or simply dismiss them as gimmicks. I remember quite a few times where I was able to use a bunch of ruses to win the game, or someone else doing it.
As long as they remove it for future games then I'm good. I hope they learned that DRM DOESN'T WORK. I mean, I bet a lot of the people who even bought the games with the shit DRM cracked it at the first chance they got.
DRM DOESN'T WORK
You do realise Steam is DRM, right?
Its because their DRM is already cracked, and they realize that with steam being so simple people just buy instead of pirate.
