Fertility refers to the likelihood of conception, not how often you have sex. If someone is has poor fertility they can still get pregnant if they have sex all the time.

Evolutionarily though, it's correct. The biological purpose of life is to procreate. You're conflating a evolution based perspective with an everday one, and that's silly.
Orgasms aren't pointless, because we enjoy them. From a Biological perspective (Where genes are more important than the organisms that carry them), where the only purpose of life is to survive to pass on your genes, that's not terribly important, as the only important thing there is that the genes are passed on.

It needs a reason, though. It doesn't really make sense that it would exist without a purpose. Anything biology keeps around usually exists for a good reason or at the very least had some function at one point in the distant past but lost use for it over time and it's just not been enough of a hindrance to individuals that have that trait meaning it's not been lost over time.
Most of the good theories about the female orgasm come from psychology more than biology. It might not increase fertility on its own but it links sex to a good feeling and so makes the individual want more sex. Or alternatively I've seen some theories that state that females link the pleasurable sensation to the male who causes it and are thus more likely to develop a stable and strong relationship with that male (because he's basically a drug fix as far as the brain is concerned) ensuring the child has a father around to protect it once it's born.
You don't experience pleasure in any way for no reason. The universe isn't inherently benevolent or anything. Happiness or any other kind of 'good' emotion basically just exists as a form of positive reinforcement to incline you to do certain things again in the future.
