thank fuck, that show is pretty much the embodiment of childhood.
Bring back Ed, Edd and Eddy you creatons
As much as I loved Ed, Edd and Eddy, it's best to let it die with dignity. The movie was excellent and it went out on such a positive note that there would just be far too much pressure to keep it good if it came back that there's no way it would live up to the hype.
I don't watch Cartoon Network much anymore besides Adult Swim, but they've got a pretty good lineup with Adventure Time and Regular Show going strong. If only they'd get rid of Johnny Test though, ugh.
Anybody remember the Cartoon Network Invasion crossover episodes? Those were how you do crossovers right!
Also there are so many cartoons that I want good endings to. Flapjack never got a proper ending. Or Billy and Mandy.
I miss Courage and Samurai Jack. Both of their worlds were so interesting to me as a child. Ed, Edd, & Eddy was great too.
I heard Courage was coming back a while ago.
They're making the jump to CGI which is shitty, but it looks like it does a good job of keeping the original look and feel of the show.
Steven Universe is THE BEST! I love that show.
Steven Universe's most recent episodes have been amazing.
There are episodes of Go that were made specifically for the purpose of shitting on the original.
Which between that and the nonexistent comprehension of character has some people thinking that's the entire point of Go.
But honestly even if it wasn't a disaster of a remake it's still at best a preschool level comedy.
Go uses writers from the original series; you haven't the faintest clue what you're talking about. Most of the callback in-jokes are improv from the voice actors themselves.
That show that formed the basis for your future love of comics and basically exemplified what it meant to be a team for young people?
Hey remember that Go! has five times the number of viewers that TT ever did? Hey remember that kids that see Go now will probably want to watch the older shows when they get older? Of course you don't because only your childhood is important, fuck anyone elses', right?

Go uses writers who at the time of hiring "had never seen the old show". And no, there are entire episodes built on bad callback in-jokes that make no sense to new viewers and are just cringe inducing to fans of the old show.
Also it gets five times the viewership because they air it more often than they air commercial breaks.

Also, to make it clear I'm not fangirling here: I didn't even watch the original Teen Titans. I checked out Go when it first came out and hated it on its own merit (despite it clearly thinking it can throw absolutely everything out the window for the sake of 'comedy' I thought it was painfully unfunny), then I was told how much it spat in the face of the original by my large amount of friends who did.
Bullshit.
Writers including DiMatteis and fucking MARV WOLFMAN (you know, the guy who pretty much invented the current lineup) and George Motherfucking Perez have written episodes. Horvath and O'Neill specifically brought in comedy writers whom had never seen an episode to broaden the series appeal, along with the above people who wrote the COMIC, much less the old series, all this was above board and public knowledge from Con interviews.
You haven't the faintest.
Teen Titans GO! is pretty dumb and Uncle Grandpa is the dumbest fucking cartoon i have ever seen in my entire life.
I would love our old shows like Ed, Edd n eddy,Courage,Samurai Jack back but right now I want Fusion Fall to be back <3
I honestly really love all those shows. TTG isn't as good as the rest but I like it. And that's coming from someone who felt the same about it not being the old show, the one I loved and grew up with.
Clarence, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and Regular Show are all my favorites. Also, consider me hype as fucking SHIT for POWERPUFF GIRLS
[editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
gumball, uncle grandpa, and any of the other total drama-esque shows can pls go
[editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
There are people who don't like Clarence??? That show is literal childhood, it's the most relatable show ever are you kidding me
Seems like cartoons are some serious shit.
Personally I think Cartoon Network should have just brought back Teen Titans if they wanted to do something Teen Titans related. Make all the references you want, it just makes people want to watch the original more.
I watched two episodes of the original show because they were the ones that my friends said Go "parodied".
But, for the sake of argument and the fact that you won't accept mine anyway since you've already convinced yourself that the only reason I dislike the show is that I liked one I never watched (aside from the previously mentioned two episodes that I saw after subjecting myself to Go) and that I couldn't dislike it for a legitimate reason, how about we talk about Go as a show in its own right, because it still falls flat on its face.
Even for a comedy you still need some semblance of character, but here there's none of that, they act however the current team of writers wanted them to act because they're nothing but a set up to a joke, and the jokes have no quality control or are meant for extremely young audiences. I remember one episode that literally had just one joke, that they told once every three seconds, that they even admitted was a bad joke, within the first minute of the episode. The show fails as an adaptation and it fails as a comedy, the animation can be decent to look at at times but that's the closest to a positive the show gets. I was ready to write it off as the next Johnny Test before I even did looking into how bad an adaptation it was, the only reason I even knew those episodes were parodies is because they barely made sense so I asked someone who watched the old show to explain them.

Again, completely obtuse. CN thursday is the highest rated kids, young adult and male adult under 45 cable anything from 5:00 until 2 in the morning, and TTG is the third highest rated offering after Gumball, Regular Show and even currently beats out Adventure Time.
Has nothing to do with the fact it's the high rotation show for the current season. Each half season has a different high rotation show, before this it was Steven Universe, before that is was Gumball, last season it was regular Show and and before that it was Adventure Time, and before that it was Ben 10 [insert version here].
i can't tell which one of you is arguing for which opinion
To those (few) knocking Clarence - Go watch the episode titled "Dream Boat"
That episode is what made me really reconsider the series. It was hellah deep, and I realized just how much the series captures childhood. I absolutely hated the pilot when I saw it, and dismissed the series when it started airing. Now it's one of my favorite's when it comes on.
Y'all need adult swim
Megas or whatever was not my kinda show, but I think toonami still has big o if you really need robots.
all these people knocking clarence need to just kick back, relax, and have fun with the stupidity of it. i saw the initial trailers for it before it came out and thought it looked absolutely stupid and insufferable and while it got the first part right, i actually think it's a lot of fun to watch.
out of everything on nowadays, it's really the only thing on the station i actually enjoy watching. adventure time got bad after the second season ended, regular show and amazing world of gumball lost their appeal to me pretty quickly, and steven universe is ok i guess but it's boring to me imo (not even going to mention uncle grandpa or teen titans go those are just awful).
Arrrgh, bring back Xiaolin Showdown.

At first I thought Uncle Grandpa was a parody of all those stupid Disney Channel live-action shows they keep churning out, but too bad its just a stupid cartoon.

I don't know if it was any good, but they did do a loose continuation of the series called Xiaolin Chronicles back in 2013.
Johnny Test probably only got a third season because I imagine it has a budget of whatever the producers have in their pockets.

Megas was fucking great, but I gotta say, it ain't got shit on Big O's soundtrack.
Big O could be a walking pile of shit for story and character and I'd still watch it because of the soundtrack.
Johnny Test probably only got a third season because I imagine it has a budget of whatever the producers have in their pockets.
From what I heard they had to keep pushing out Johnny Test because CN needs atleast one Canadian show so they can air the channel in Canada
I don't know if it was any good, but they did do a loose continuation of the series called Xiaolin Chronicles back in 2013.
Yeah, it sucked.
Whenever I pass over CN on the guide and I see Uncle Grandpa, all I can think about is the kind of fucked up incestuous web of relationships that could result in such a thing existing.
