Yea, they seem pretty self aware about the whole thing.
I find it kinda weird that they used Young Justice Aqua Lad instead of Teen Titans Aqualad.
Gah, why can't they just renew young justice instead of more TTG
I find it kinda weird that they used Young Justice Aqua Lad instead of Teen Titans Aqualad.
Imho because TTG replaced young justice, which was considered a show too mature and didn't sell enough toys to kids who wanted "fun" and it caused quite an outcry. so a let's get serious episode might intentionally reference the more serious show.
Give me Batman Beyond please DC, you can still have TTG.
I wouldn't mind just more DC shows as a whole.
The show isn't that bad, certainly more deserving of another season than Teen Titans Go.
Why do people hate Teen Titans Go so much? Like, I've never watched it on a regular basis or anything, but I've seen some pretty dang funny clips from it. It seems alright, so what gives it its bad rep?
Why can't Cartoon Network launch shows that appeal to me instead of the target age group for the channel.
Steven Universe is like a whole show made up of the bad adventure time episodes
Give me Batman Beyond please DC, you can still have TTG.
Batman Beyond was the shit.

The only thing I don't like is that they all look like bobble heads and that they made Raven a completely different person. Though other than that the show is pretty average Cartoon Network quality.
If only Samurai Jack got an ending to the show.
The series has been continuing for about a year now in comic form. The issues are unfortunately quite short but they feel just like the show.

I like the original Teen Titans pretty well, and was initially disappointed when I heard there was a new Teen Titans on and saw that this is what they were referring to. Setting aisde those disappointed expectations, though, TTG is pretty funny for what it is. It's the kind of cartoon I would have loved as a kid, and still appreciate as a grown-up.
I think people are trying to say that TTG could have been ANY other show. They just used TT to milk off the success of the original show

Frankly I'm surprised it lasted two seasons.
I'm kinda disappointing a lot of this thread is all about bringing back old shows. What about all the new stuff? Did anyone even watch Over the Garden Wall? Shit was fantastic. I want more of that (as in, more things like that where they take risks and create something new and interesting.) I love all the old stuff, but rather than bringing it back I believe they should really focus on creating a NEW Ed, Edd, n Eddy, or Flapjack, or Megas XLR, or Samurai Jack, or what have you. Not creating the same thing, but creating something that gives us the same feelings as those shows. And getting more of the good stuff that hasn't reached its prime yet (Gumball, Regular Show, heck even Adventure Time still needs some time to simmer.) [editline]22nd February 2015[/editline] The mini-series format is perfect for new stuff, and I think CN should really abuse the hell out of it in order to get some new creative shows running.
What ever happened with that scooby doo reboot they pitched along with the most recent batch of cartoons?
What ever happened with that scooby doo reboot they pitched along with the most recent batch of cartoons?
Didn't the latest Scooby doo series end with shaggy and Scooby fighting Nazi robots? Pretty sure Fred died or something as well.
Mystery inc was fucking great, but I'm talking about Be Cool Scooby Doo
Mystery inc was the shit, but I'm talking about Be Cool Scooby Doo
It looks....really bad. Fred looks like Stan Smith from American Dad.
Steven Universe is like a whole show made up of the bad adventure time episodes
You have not even watched the show at all, it's nothing like Adventure Time
Whenever I pass over CN on the guide and I see Uncle Grandpa, all I can think about is the kind of fucked up incestuous web of relationships that could result in such a thing existing.
because an uncle that is one's grampa is actually your father's brother and father wincest in a nutshell
It looks....really bad. Fred looks like Stan Smith from American Dad.
Wow that's GoAnimate tier.
I think people are trying to say that TTG could have been ANY other show. They just used TT to milk off the success of the original show
ya but TTG pokes fun at itself in a way, like the comicbook TTs are supposed to be super dark, TT was sort of dark but it also had its very lighthearted moments, but TTG allows them to tell stories that weren't possible in teen titans. like raven is a great example, her character in the first show would never be seen geeking out, but in TTG they established she's got a thing for a mirror-world MLP, her dad comming to town doesn't bring armageadon (unless she want it to) he's more like the awkward dad...who also can destroy the world, and they play up the whole "dark magic" stuff with her, like her cavities are a doorway to hell, and the numerous episodes where she pulls out her spell book and sets up some story, they couldn't do that in the first show, they really re-invented the characters without having to reinvent them, because the animation is so much lighter and funnier, its ok to have robin beating on a dude with a stick and be beaten up, but in the original show that would be gruesome people give it crap for being cartooney, but its one of my favorite shows because its got these awsome established characters, and they refrence the old show all the time, but its expanding in a different direction thats funny. Teen titans did all the universe building, now this show gets to muck about with it.
Wow that's GoAnimate tier.
90% of the episodes will end with one, several or all of the characters getting grounded, calling it now.
90% of the episodes will end with one, several or all of the characters getting grounded, calling it now.

Shaggy Eats All The Food In The House And Gets Grounded

Shaggy Is Caught Smoking Weed And Gets Grounded

Fred Builds A Trap Wrong And Gets Grounded

Scooby Eats A Lot Of Scooby Snacks And Gets Grounded
Highest ratings Cartoon Network has ever received from their target demographic.
It looks....really bad. Fred looks like Stan Smith from American Dad.
Really bad? Damn, it looks horrible!
Really bad? Damn, it looks horrible!
It looks like that shit show on Comedy Central called Brinkleberry or some shit. Also, Shaggy and Scooby are so fucking high and checking out Fred's knees.
It looks....really bad. Fred looks like Stan Smith from American Dad.
Dem legs tho. Seriously, most of them have limbs of anorexic people. Its horrible, frightening, and cringeworthy

From the few episodes I've seen of TTG, and imo it feels like another show with Teen Titan characters overlaid on it. I'm not nostalgic for the previous series, didn't watch much of it back then.
