It does have the potential to damage the viewer's suspension of disbelief if they recognise the face, though, which reduces (momentarily or for the extent of the episode) the viewer's immersion in the media

I don't think it's different than seeing an actor you recognize aka Sean Bean
Now if Dubya was actually in it walking around with pistols shooting things then I'd lose immersion

I'd be thinking "I understand giving the studio some creative rights with the materials, but this is a bit too liberal even for my tastes."
:v:
I don't understand, what the fuck just happened?
Is this just something the media spun out of control or am I having a stroke?
They'll cut the likeness of a former president, but they won't cut those grisly rape scenes.
George Bush isn't a president anymore so nobody gives a fuck.
They'll cut the likeness of a former president, but they won't cut those grisly rape scenes.
Those are integral to the story. A bust of George Bush appearing on screen was just the result of convenience.
(Ok, what's creepy is that the first person to rate me on this has the username Rapist.)
Are you kidding me? I just watched that episode and it's on screen for literally 2 seconds! And if nobody would've told me it was Bush, I never would've fucking noticed it!
if nobody told me i wouldn't think it was bush actually.
I'm pretty sure he alluded to[sp]Lord Renly and Ser Loras being gay at a few points, but the show just threw it into the open.[/sp].
Yeah the books made this reasonably obvious.
