And you're still trivilaizing it like it doesn't matter.
If a friend of mine said "I'll sexually assault someone" everyone I know would literally hurt that person. I would feel compelled to hit that person because they're going to hurt, harm, or rape someone in the future and haven't realized that's wrong. And here you are, just trivializing it like it shouldn't matter because it's "Common".
I'm not sheltered. I've hung out with bikers, hells angels, gangsters, meth dealers and cooks, heroin addicts and their pushers, I've been in the darker side of the world and I've gotten out of it. And you know what? that's the only place that those kinds of things were common and you're acting like its fine
This is how a lot of people talk about other people, male or female. I mean it's not a NICE thing to talk about or do but it's common as fuck
You think other presidential candidates haven't said shit like this? I dont like Trump but I mean there's so much other shit then a 11 year old leaked audio recording of him being cocky about his cock.
he was married for 3 months at the time which is pretty poopy itself but
"Grab them by the pussy and you can do whatever you want, you can do whatever you want to them if you are rich"
cmon
Such is the life of a celebrity. You can't just joke around and say what you want anymore.
if you're going to talk like that and be a billionaire playboy then be a billionaire playboy and dont run for president. this is why i still cant believe it sometimes because its like he never thought that someone would dig this up in a timely manner throughout his candidacy. its media professionalism like this and good timing that wins elections
And you're still trivilaizing it like it doesn't matter.

I never said it was fine lmfao you can put words in my mouth im just saying shit like this happens all the time and people aren't as lucky as you to have friends who care
False images is just how politics work, the whole thing is just a gigantic sales pitch of false promises from both sides.
Now you're being incredibly apathetic, cynical and nihilistic. I very much get that sentiment - I held it a few years ago - but I would recommend you read some history books, particularly about FDR.
I know Republicans have convinced people in the States that 'government is the problem' but governments across the world have done wonderful things and have helped people. It's not all false promises.
I can certainly tell you Trump WON'T backdown on what he's said - and that should scare you indeed.
Everyone remembers the famous 2016 October What-a-Surprise when the disgusting misogynistic candidate was exposed as a disgusting misogynist
So referring to a slightly overweight model as "Mrs Piggy" and "Mrs Housekeeping" is perfectly acceptable to you?
[editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
That's professional conduct? Really?
I don't personally care because words and names don't mean much to me. As for professional conduct, I'm not privy to the details of the culture at Miss Universe or the Trump Organization or whatever business said model was employed at. Maybe there's no stringent HR policies there and people can banter as much as they want.

"...But I must support my party's nominee for President. Vote Republican." --Every Republican Senator
As disgusted with the GOP leadership as I was before Trump got the nomination, nothing compares to how spineless they've been afterward -- like their continued endorsements after the Judge Curiel incident, after his cluelessness about MAD, after his promises to lower gas taxes by invading Middle Eastern allies and seizing their oil fields, after the horrific things his supporters have said and done...
Doesn't seem like they have any moral integrity left. Anything to get to the White House.
e: My mistake, I thought he had endorsed Trump - the point still holds for the rest of the Republican party though
I was under the impression that being a model required you to maintain a certain figure to keep modeling for whoever employs you. I'm not really into that profession though so I might be wrong.
how does this justify being a total asshole though? idgi
I never said it was fine lmfao you can put words in my mouth im just saying shit like this happens all the time and people aren't as lucky as you to have friends who care
So why's it okay for the highest office in the land to be held by a person who says this kind of shit? And no, you said it was

Basically something to be glazed over and ignored, it's a non issue in your eyes because you won't even bring it up other than to say it isn't a huge deal
yeah it kinda is
advocating for sexual assault in your history should make you illegible for the presidency

To be fair Jeb never endorsed trump

Jeb has specifically said he's not voting for Trump, as most of the Bush family have.
I do agree with you in regards to the like of McCain and Paul Ryan though.
Just because "it's a guy thing" doesn't mean we should not hold our presidential candidates to higher standards than "just guys". Not to mention, normalizing this type of behavior just because it's happened in the past is not acceptable.
We should be trying to improve, not trying to maintain that "hey, everyone does this reprehensible thing, so you know, it's fine that he does too".
Change starts with holding people accountable. Especially public figures and EXTRA-ESPECIALLY presidential nominees.

That's not even advocating if you want to get technical, and personal views should not make you illegible, that goes against free speech. It's up to people to decide and as we see in the polls obviously people are going to react negatively to such shitty comments.
False images is just how politics work, the whole thing is just a gigantic sales pitch of false promises from both sides.
this is political apathy and complacency and it is to entirely to blame for the faults in our system

Keep making excuses
It's really just sad that there isn't a reason you won't support Trump
Advocating for rape, nah, you'll stick with him through that. Calling his employees pigs and housekeepers because of their ethnicity? NAH, YOU GOT HIS BACK. You name it, Chonch is your man to have your back regardless Donald.
I don't personally care because words and names don't mean much to me. .
im sure if you were called a fat fuck in front of millions of people you would have a different opinion but hey

Not by your approximation as it's "common" for guys to talk like that according to you so maybe it isn't a sure thing that this will tank his polling numbers.
advocating for sexual assault in your history should make you illegible for the presidency
But we need to be tolerant of the things other people say. If people want to elect a jerk, why shouldn't they?

Nah Jeb is one of the highest profile Republicans to have refused to back Trump and continued to attack him and call him out throughout the election. Cruz and Rubio are much worse on that front.

honestly it doesn't matter if you and your buddies do talk like this because you're not running for president and when you run for president of a country image is everything and shit like this doesn't do any good for your image regardless if you think it's normal
Now you're being incredibly apathetic, cynical and nihilistic. I very much get that sentiment - I held it a few years ago - but I would recommend you read some history books, particularly about FDR.

I'm not speaking on behalf of world governments, I am talking about current American politics.
FDR was able to do shit because we rebuilt our economy with WWII victories and were long overdue for a revival with the Great Depression. Getting another world war to boost the economy is impossible due to nuclear weapons being able to end everything in a single day.
The government is part of the problem in modern American politics because of the way elections are run and how corporations contribute to them. Axing corporate influence doesn't resolve the issue that politicians act first on behalf of getting re-elected rather than for the greater good of their constituents.
Not by your approximation as it's "common" for guys to talk like that according to you so maybe it isn't a sure thing that this will tank his polling numbers.
You're right. Why do you think he's made it this far
But we need to be tolerant of the things other people say. If people want to elect a jerk, why shouldn't they?
Jerks tend to be terrible at diplomacy, one of the most important aspects of the President's job.
You do not want someone in the White House who could easily piss off practically all other world leaders.
honestly it doesn't matter if you and your buddies do talk like this because you're not running for president and when you run for president of a country image is everything and shit like this doesn't do any good for your image regardless if you think it's normal
I never said I talked like this, I just know people who do.
Also maybe I will run for president and then people will dig up my FP posts that I apparently advocate rape ect ect
But we need to be tolerant of the things other people say. If people want to elect a jerk, why shouldn't they?
Oh so now you're going to try and take the piss out of me because I'm a "leftist"?
Tolerance doesn't mean "You can advocate for rape, and I'll stand behind you.". That's your line. Tolerance to me means that if you say something rude or upsetting, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. If you keep doing it, as Trump has, you lose that tolerance.
But nah, go ahead, make a pathetically weak attempt at a joke by going down the road of "be more tolerant of rape"
But we need to be tolerant of the things other people say. If people want to elect a jerk, why shouldn't they?
because jerks are trigger happy idiots why do you think me and ehmmett aint mods yet
For what its worth, I am calling a Trump loss unless some crazy shit happens at the debates
Nah Jeb is one of the highest profile Republicans to have refused to back Trump and continued to attack him and call him out throughout the election. Cruz and Rubio are much worse on that front.
You're right, my mistake lol. Confused him with the other primary candidates
I never said I talked like this, I just know people who do
Same. And they were all criminals. Normal people in my life have never acted like
