He said he was wrong and apologized. Also the response to the event was guaranteed to give him free air time so of course he attacked the Clintons.

I think he handled it well, and it was great that he re-directed it to the Clintons (for his campaign point of view). And while I do believe this won't just blow-off, I feel he at least manned up for this mistake in the past. Now had there been a other stupid response (I'm not apologizing) then yeah, this would be the end of it.

After reading about this I saw a few anchors talking about it on TV and even they were livid (except when we flipped over to Fox, who were trying to blame the whole thing on Bill Clinton.)
