If Trump performs as bad as people claim he will be, then he will either get completely blocked by Congress or Pence will replace him when the cabinet boots him out for being inept.

Could be like the radical left and protest the political landscape by rioting and looting stores in my local community.
Then we'll have an evangelical christian that honestly believes gay couples are a sign of the coming of the end of times, in which he and a select group of people like him will be saved from starship earth, while we all perish at the hands of demons. A man who has had a hand in legislation that has been intended to subvert the rights of groups of people disfavored by Christianity on multiple occasions.
And he feels good about this. He thinks that is what America is supposed to be. He's a war hawk like Cheney happily tooting his way towards what he believes will be a God-ordained apocalypse within his lifetime, in which he will be forgiven for all of his sins and rewarded for his sincere faith.
I'm not toxxing. If anything I expect recounts to be issued.
Even if the election is "rigged" its not like you can hold a second election anyway. We will be stuck with whoever wins on the 8th.
To BMM, I'm gonna vote for Trump regardless of what happens in the next month. Maybe I'm just fed up with the political system and don't care anymore. Both candidates are the worst options we've had in history, and I don't want to give Clinton the satisfaction of winning.
you admit that he's terrible. you admitted it. now I'm asking you: what do you really want from a US presidency? what ideals do you, personally hold dear, and what do you want to see implemented in the system?

Still better than Clinton

"Those people are stupid, so I'm going to be stupid too"
man, if only everyone thought like you
Still better than Clinton
but why?
I don't want to give Clinton the satisfaction of winning.
christ how petty do you have to be honestly
Still better than Clinton
My fucking god.
Still better than Clinton
This is it, summarizing the support Trump has gotten, complete pettiness and ignorance.
Still better than Clinton
Lol how
but why?
because to admit that clinton isn't the worst possible president there could ever be no matter what would be admitting that he's been wrong for the past several months and that he's been making a complete jackass of himself with his cringe inducing donaldposting and that he was just conned into a cut rate swindler's personality cult because he was told what he wanted to hear

Which for a lot of people is fucking terrifying yet you're willing to throw them under the bus?

First of all you should be extremely worried if for some reason Trump asks for a re-count and calls the election rigged. His more extreme followers will cause violence and that will be extremely regrettable. And somehow if the election is rigged, you can bet that there will be a do-over, as no precedent has been set for that sort of thing.
Second -thanks for calling me by my proper shorthand - so many people don't.
No but serious, look. I can understand your apathy, and your disgust with how things are shaping up. The American democratic system does need to change. But Trump won't do that - his policies can only make things worse and he will defend that electoral system to the death if he has to - after all, it's the only way he gets power (trust me, if the States had PR and didn't vote for leaders in this way, Trump would be a small insignificant but mad candidate).
I don't care if you vote for Clinton, honestly. But you're smart enough not to vote for Trump. If you want to protest (and protesting by voting doesn't work, mind), vote either Johnson or Stein.
It will come off much better.
Still better than Clinton
How? Explain
Clinton is more of the same shit that has led to an unfavorable economic situation for myself, my family, and friends. Shit jobs, non-functional public healthcare, horrible debt, little reward for being a student. She did a shit job in Haiti and the Middle East in her service. The incompetence with national secrets and the DNCs rigged primary against a candidate people actually liked just turn me off from her.
And you think Trump won't gut worker's rights, safety nets, stall efforts towards getting us free/sensible college tuition(The reason I never went was because I can't afford the 40K+ it'd cost to go), affordable/single-payer healthcare, etc? He is, literally, big business perosonified. He will return workers' rights to where they were in 1912 if he thinks he can get away with it. He is the epitome of 'pick yourself up by your bootstraps' and will skullfuck absolutely anything that aims to help people. You can kiss about 80 or 90 years of social and labor progress goodbye under his administration.
I hope you enjoy 12 hour shifts for $3/hr, paid in company scrip that only works at the company store, with zero benefits. That's the working environment Trump will be in favor of.
I feel the same way you do about Clinton, but if you held a gun to my head and forced me to vote in November, she'd get it. Why? I can endure four more years of the status quo far better than I can endure nuclear armageddon.
In my honest opinion the chair these two shitheads want to sit in is more qualified to lead the country than either of them are. Sadly, we can't elect inanimate objects POTUS.
This discussion is absolute madness

I don't normally like to use this word on Facepunch posters, but...
You're a fucking retard.
(User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Novangel))
trump is a vacuous burning tire fire of a husk of a decent human being. he's not playing 21-dimensional harmonic manifold backgammon. he's a completely incompetent, rich bastard who lives off having his army of accountants and lawyers play the system. men like him are responsible for your suffering.
Still better than Clinton
But why? He has been shown to be much more corrupt and much more dishonest with her, he has policies that will actively hurt Hispanics, other minorities, blacks, illegal immigrants who are working honestly in the States but for whatever reason don't have citizenship, and he's been shown to be incredibly sexist, racist, and sectarian. He would bring the US back to some very dark times and I fear he's about to release a Pandora's Box of violence on the States.
Is there a reason you haven't told us that you're still so heavily opposed to Clinton?
But you want to give someone categorically worse than Clinton the satisfaction in hopes he'll fix things when he's basically publicly vowed to break things?
Dude. You're smart. Why are you choosing to ignore every red flag on the road as you drive down it?
I read the article in this voice:
How? Explain
He doesn't have to explain, Trump is simply better than Clinton.
You can get through to Trump supporters like him, they're too stubborn to admit they fell for his manipulative bullshit or they're voting for him simply because it's the edgy thing to do and lolfuckclinton
He even admitted himself Clinton and Trump are two of the worst candidates we've had in recent years, and he's still voting for him. What does that tell you? It isn't worth arguing about.
If you want to protest (and protesting by voting doesn't work, mind), vote either Johnson or Stein.

Due to how fucked our election system is any vote cast for one of the B-list candidates helps the A-list candidate on the opposite side of the aisle as the one you vote for. A true protest vote is a write-in for something silly, like James Hetfield or your cat or something.

She's just as slimey as he is, just in different ways and she's even more a power monger than he ever thought about being, sadly enough.
They're both utter shite in their own ways.

I mean I agree completely but honestly if it gets Billy to see some sense I really don't care.
Wikileaks have just released some excerpts from Clinton's paid speeches, which will probably be Kellyanne Conway's switcheroo when she's asked about this
I feel like this is a good example of what people are talking about when they bring up the topic of privilege, whether it's racial privilege, economical privilege, etc.
It's the safety of being able to vote for a politician so terrible, either just out of spite or because you want to prove some point.
It's not having to worry about any of the following awful, horrible things that will happen to those less privileged than you once someone like trump is elected, simply because you know whatever events follow as a result of his presidency can't and won't affect you specifically.

A protest vote would be for Vermin Supreme, but there's little point to voting for a 3rd party candidate in America. I don't like Johnson, and Jill Stein has her science wrong on nuclear power [sp]not that she's on the ballot in my state anyway[/sp].

It doesn't actually help the opposition. It only "helps" them if your second choice was one of the two main party candidates.
The basic idea being that if you vote for a third party candidate in our current system you essentially aren't voting at all, since they will never come close to winning an election. Voting for a joke write in is essentially the same thing.

If this was the October surprise, then it doesn't matter with this audio leak.

At this point, the only response I have for your posts is a derisive chuckle.
Like, okay man. Sure.
