just drives him further into a hole
The people who call me trumpet/trumpster/whatever are about as mentally handicapped as /pol/ users because they immediately discredit my thoughts because I am voting Trump. I don't care about them.
Also if you think I'm dumb for voting Trump, good for you. I am one vote out of millions who will be voting in November, so you shouldn't worry that much.
Care to explain why you think she isn't?
Clinton's absolutely horrid foreign policy from her former government positions is a good start. I can't think of anything actually positive happening by her actions then, it just seems to be one massive disaster that didn't seem to be stopping. Plus, if those leaked mails were to be believed, was that she was the person who fueled the current clusterfuck in the Middle East by approving the supplying of ''''moderate'''' rebels, who turned out to be ISIS goons most of the time. And all while turning a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's deeds, which is still considered a very good ally in those mails despite you know, Saudi Arabia regularly throwing homosexuals off buildings and stoning women to death for being raped. But that's all okay, since Saudi Arabia is on the UN Human Rights Council after all, so they get to tell western countries if their national holidays are ''racist'', while the house of Saudi is probably busy threatening some random French man again purely for shit and giggles and the knowledge that they get away with it, because oil money talks, and especially to politicians like Clinton. So far I can see, Clinton is the definition of a two-faced politician, who pretends she cares about certain groups while happily getting supported by a foreign regime who very regularly puts said groups to death in their country in barbaric ways. In short, it doesn't seem right to me how certain organisations and politicians suck up so much to Saudi Arabia. It feels to me that, as long you are sitting on the world's biggest supply of oil, that you could get away with absolutely everything, even if you are the scummiest government on the planet. If it takes people like Trump to take a stand against that, well, so fucking be it. It's a massive gamble, but I'll take it above the guaranteed global clusterfuck Clinton would cause. At least Trump couldn't get away with absolutely everything because even the Republicans would prevent him from doing anything too rash, while Clinton, with her connections, would in the same situation. Plus, I can't support a system which is showing more and more corruption and hypocrisy just to keep on going.

How can someone so much more capable and probably smarter than me make such a dumb decision
being smart doesn't stop you from doing dumb things. I'm a phd student in the biomedical imaging sciences and I'm a big fat dumbass a lot of the time. all humans can be really smart and yet vulnerable to the same crazy thought patterns
it's all led by emotion, all of it. fear and anger and helplessness do this to people. he's admitted that it doesn't make logical sense and is just doing it out of spite. admitting that you're wrong takes a serious amount of introspection and ego damage.
At least we will be able to look our grandchildren in the eyes and tell them that we did all we could to save ripbillymays

Hey let's not bring those types of insults into this. Again, you're above that.
And seriously fuck anyone who uses the term 'mentally handicapped' or 'autistic' or whatever to refer to idiots.
Ripbilly makes me glad I registered for the first time this year- gonna cancel out a stupid vote with my own vote! (Not like it matters much with the electoral college, but you get what I mean)
Sidenote, are there other officials you choose when you go to vote, or is it just the president? If its the former, I'd love to know the best place to find out the best choices in my region. If not, I know we do in 2 years, so I can't wait to do it then.
There's no point on dogpiling on a single guy. It's mean and only accomplishes their further entrenchment.

you're discredited because of the stupid things you say and the stupid things you believe
feel free to blame it on partisan politics and bias though. I mean, you got here by just assuming whatever felt most convenient was true, why stop now?

You know, admitting faults and being wrong is a lot easier when you aren't lambasted by the same 5 posters in every thread. I try not to berate people on the other side for that reason.

I wish that this weren't a huge factor but it so totally is
The reality is that climate change wise its already too late. We needed to start building fleets of nuclear reactors years ago just to replace our existing fleet, and then we would have to double our nuclear capacity on top of it. Nuclear at this point isn't going to affect climate change, only give us clean air and decent energy grid security.
Energy and national security are boring to most people. I went to a major nonproliferation meeting (CNEC) that was public, and barely 30 people showed up even though you had top security and industry leaders on the panel. Environmentalists aren't open to nuclear because they think renewables will solve everything and nuclear waste isn't manageable.
Believe me, I have worked in outreach and frequently discuss nuclear with people I meet. I go up to Climate Change/Green Energy tables to talk to them about nuclear and they don't take me seriously.
if it's too late why are you even bothering to vote? what the hell is the point of anything if it's "too late"? fuck that shit, we may have just gone beyond CO2 levels of 400 ppm but it's only "too late" if we discount all those batshit crazy geoengineering solutions to the problem which human beings have thought of
guess what you need for geoengineering projects - lots and lots and lots of energy! the kind of energy that probably only nuclear can provide! think fucking bigger!
[editline]8th October 2016[/editline]
also fuck the green energy panels, go for the common man

People don't discredit you because you're voting for Trump, they discredit you because of your reasons for voting for Trump. Pretty important difference.
It's never too late to help alleviate the worst effects of climate change.

speak for yourself I'm trying to show compassion
The difference between Hill's flaws and Trump's flaws is simple, Hill lies like mad and does some shady stuff but ultimately she's not a imbecile and is pragmatic with her views. She's going to push hard for liberal reform and other good shit the country needs as she believes it'll gain her votes and I do feel like she actually cares about shit like universal health care. She's capable of doing the shit she wants, she's smart and she's got fuck tons of experience and knows how to deal with GOP.
Meanwhile, Trump, is pretty much borderline mentally retarded. He'll never apologize, compromise or change his position for the better as long as he thinks he's right.
Hillary isn't a good person but she has the potential to be a good president.
Trump is an awful human being and will be the worst president in living memory.

I could say I want conservative Supreme Court Justices and still get discredited because it would mean voting for Trump.

Actually to defend billy for a second here, they do it for both really. he doesn't deserve it as much as other Trump supporters though because he's not a huge dick about it.
Billy I hope I'm not being a cunt. I'm just concerned.
I don't enjoy this current trend of after ignoring countless arguments and putting out vague statements, people come out and say they're just being discredited and insulted and act like a victim.
No, you ignored the arguments, you say vague shit that wasn't logical and that's when people stop arguing with you and started to mock you
I can just imagine Jeb watching this leaked audio while eating from his guac bowl and maniacally laughing

Yeah her great job in Haiti and the Middle East make her a great candidate with tangible experience
voting trump because he supports nuclear is insane when you consider that he doesn't think global warming is real, he thinks that vaccines cause autism, plus he wants to subsidise and support fossil fuels

wat
I mean i know about the other shit but if this is true then my dislike for him will become hate and it will become personal.

yeah but Trump submarining multiple casinos all at the same time was just normal business, right
you're a joke
I could say I want conservative Supreme Court Justices and still get discredited because it would mean voting for Trump.
That's sure as hell a more legitimate reason than voting for him on the basis of his stance on nuclear power being a good measure against global warming, despite the fact that Trump has promised to reduce environmental regulations because he believes global warming is a Chinese hoax to make American manufacturing less competitive.
Saudi Arabia's deeds, which is still considered a very good ally in those mails despite you know, Saudi Arabia regularly throwing homosexuals off buildings and stoning women to death for being raped.
Well probably because the internal issues of Saudi Arabia have no impact on our relationship with them. Simple diplomacy.
So far I can see, Clinton is the definition of a two-faced politician, who pretends she cares about certain groups while happily getting supported by a foreign regime who very regularly puts said groups to death in their country in barbaric ways.
Proof that she got supported personally by a foreign regime please and thanks.
If it takes people like Trump to take a stand against that, well, so fucking be it.
Trump has given literally zero indication that he wouldn't continue an alliance with Saudi Arabia. Pence certainly wouldn't let him
It's a massive gamble, but I'll take it above the guaranteed global clusterfuck Clinton would cause.
Is this a "Clinton will cause WW3 with Russia" meme.

Why/how would the Republicans stop him from doing anything too rash while Clinton would totes get away with doing it. What connections?
Plus, I can't support a system which is showing more and more corruption and hypocrisy just to keep on going.
Clearly you can support it quite readily if you think Trump is a good candidate.
Yeah her great job in Haiti and the Middle East make her a great candidate with tangible experience
Handling the Middle East is insanely fucking hard to do and something even the brightest of people will have trouble tackling.
But at the very least, Hillary has a rough idea of what's going on there and who's doing what. Trump seems like he wouldn't be able to name who the leader of Iraq is and why Iran and Saudi hate each other. Fuck, he wants to steal Iraq's oil, you know, America's ally? He doesn't know shit.
