Dunn's lack of respect is what caused this in the first place. No respect for his own life, passenger's life, other possible drivers or pedestrians, alocohol or the law. People on facebook and twitter attack anyone that simply utters the words drunk or dui.
His joke actually has a serious message that is totally acceptable.
Mor aof a pun really.
His joke actually has a serious message that is totally acceptable.
The way he did it was not classy at all, good message or not. He just sounds like a prick to me. Sure, Ryan should not have been drinking and driving, but he paid the fucking price didn't he? The man lost his life, people need to pay some respect and quit bashing him for it. He didn't hurt anybody besides himself and his buddy who was with him (it's just as much his responsibility as it was Dunn's), so let's quit complaining about the "what-ifs" of the situation that could have happened, pay respect to those who lost their lives and to his family and friends, and take this as a lesson instead of making big deals out it. People make mistakes, it's human nature.
I don't see why people are making such a big deal out of this. I didn't even know who he was until yesterday. Is he that cool on the internet? Edit: Actually I didn't even know who he was until a few hours ago, I had never heard his name until yesterday.
Read the twit. "Crying hysterically for a full day." No one is capable of much rational thought when grieving heavily due to such a colossal lost. I'd say his response is well in bounds, giving his current state.
so he stopped crying hysterically to check the latest twitter trends?
Police say the car was going 130 mph in a 55 mph zone. And he was more than twice the legal limit. The idiot brought it on himself. My above comment has about as much relevancy as Ebert's. Where's my critics?
so he stopped crying hysterically to check the latest twitter trends?
Are you dense? He was doing it in response to Robert Ebert's comment.
i don't see any reason to pay respects to someone who killed themselves through stupidity along with one of their friends. the fact that they didn't hit another car or any pedestrians is pretty much a miracle.
That's another thing, you're not yourself when your drunk, and you're not very much in control either. You don't think clearly, you're pretty much a completely different and slower person while intoxicated. You really can't help it, people only have so much control and rational thoughts while under the influence. Was it stupid and dangerous? Very much so. Did they have a lot of control over the situation considering their current mind-state? Doubtful. If anything, the people who ran the bar and other friends/people there shouldn't have let them get into the car in the first place. It's a little bit of everybody's fault, but no matter what, we have no fucking right to hate the man. Him and his friend paid the price, no one else, so who the hell are we to call them horrible people? Like I said, it's pointless to whine about the what-ifs of the situation.
what...... he drank and drove... and it's somehow everyone's fault? you're letting your hero worship get in the way of your common sense.
I'm not letting anything get in the way here, you can't say it's not a little bit of everyone's fault. He was drinking with other guys, they didn't stop it. Pretty much everyone there knew him too, especially the people who ran the bar, and not a single person stood up to try and prevent a bad situation? I'm not placing the entire thing on their shoulders by any means, but someone could have stopped them two from getting into the car. Period.
Roger Ebert is such an arrogant prick sometimes valid message, but shit, what the fuck does he even have to do with it? you don't walk up to someone who's just lost their parents and say "Oh, well, it was their fault, deal with it" i'd understand if he'd managed to collide with another car killing its driver but shit
Why isn't this getting more agrees? Ebert had no place to comment on this, let alone making a disparaging comment towards someone who is recently deceased. It's like commenting on a soldier's death saying "Well that's what happens when you shoot guns, he could've killed someone innocent." National pride aside it's the same situation. It's distasteful and insulting.

That's bullshit and we all know it, I just can't look at that comment and find anything non-insulting about it.
Why do people give a shit about this idiot? He did some stupid shit on TV, big fucking whoop. Hey guys let's cry over some media figure
Why do people give a shit about this idiot? He did some stupid shit on TV, big fucking whoop. Hey guys let's cry over some media figure
You don't have to be an asshole just because you don't care about him or the situation. I care because I liked his show, and I honestly know what his friends and family are going through right now. It fucking hurts, I feel bad for them, I understand their pain, and I don't like how people are making these little comments about the whole thing. It's just wrong, but like you said I guess he was just the idiot who did stupid shit on TV, a human being's life doesn't really matter just because he was famous eh? There's a person behind that "idiot", believe it or not.
It's like commenting on a soldier's death saying "Well that's what happens when you shoot guns, he could've killed someone innocent."
No, it's actually not like that at all.
I know how it should be but not how to do it. - Every critic.
Better stop bveing critical of Obama, you've never run a country.
No, it's actually not like that at all.
Looks like you only posted half of your argument. I'll wait for the rest.
Looks like you only posted half of your argument. I'll wait for the rest.
a soldier shooting guns isn't the same as someone drinking and driving 135mph in a 55 zone or whatever it was
Looks like you only posted half of your argument. I'll wait for the rest.
I mean he's right, this situation is completely different, that doesn't mean it wasn't an asshole thing to do on Ebert's part though, it was still a douche move, but there are better comparisons than that.
Looks like you only posted half of your argument. I'll wait for the rest.
Really now? I have to argue to you that a being a soldier and drunk driving are not really comparable? No thanks, I'll opt out. If that's not self-evident to you, I will allow you to remain clueless. I don't really have a problem with it.
