They're non-native, invasive in the US. I think they're native to the Indies/Pacific area. So basically, if you're in the US, eat as many as possible. If you're in the Pacific, take note of the populations before mass hunting.

That's why we need to kill them. If we don't, they will end up filling our coastal waters. We won't be able to go wading without getting swarmed by starving, emaciated Lionfish.
