Bad optimization? Did you play after the 64 bit update? I get like 200FPS on highest settings with a GTX 770
The only thing I didn't really like about the game was some of the boss fights. Strafing around a big slow guy and shooting glowing spots isn't very fun, especially when you have like 10 seconds to do damage before it goes invincible again.

I had a 770 at the time and played highest settings and still got a solid 60 fps even before the 64bit update

also I would trust the Flying Wild Hog guys to do a good job of remaking Heretic as well.
I still haven't finished the first one, but I really want to return to it once my exam period ends. It's definitely a great game, perhaps the "serious" combat moments feel a bit chorey with how much damage I have to pump into the enemies for them to go down. I think I should try playing it on difficulty different than the hardest.
After this, we definitely need new, current-gen Blood as well.

This a thousand times. Would be Dark Messiah levels of good.
I'm cautious about this, because I'm not entirely sure if they'll be able to top the first one. I only hope this one is a bit more like the original game. Shadow Warrior's reboot was fantastic, but if they were to remove Lo Wang and Zilla, the only thing being barely reminiscent of Shadow Warrior would be the severed heads and heart weapons.

Keeping it the same every time would be excessively boring they're well within their rights to take it in their own, arguably more interesting direction that they started with the first.

Damn, has it really been almost two years? It almost feels like yesterday when SW 2013 came out.
Glad to see it's getting a sequel, they did really good with the reboot. My only complaint was that the guns in the game felt a bit wonky in terms of enemy hitboxes. Getting head shots was a pain in the ass, and there were times when you looked like you were going to hit the head, but didn't. It probably didn't help that enemies move kind of erratically.
Either way, I'm hoping for more crossbow gibbing action. It was my favorite gun in the whole game.
Looks impressive. Though I wonder what plot line will they use this time?

Well I guess this is good time as any to get the first game. It's £4.50 on Steam right now and 85% off, I can't imagine it going any lower. And if it does you can always refund.

I don't know if that gas mask level was near the end or middle, but it was fucking garbage and kind of the low point
Gas mask sequence was in Act 3, and yes it wasn't exactly the best part.
Also HOLY SHIT I am so hyped right now. Trying to hold it in and be cautious like I usually am, but I am still SO into this. Hopefully we still have a demon pal of some description alongside Strelok and Deadpool in the trailer.
So what does the fourth player look like then? Also I'm going to assume those guys with Wang are some of the other top assassins in Japan then?
