cheers
For somebody who commands the banhammer with such force, your hands are surprisingly dainty.
but god forbid I take a picture of me holding a pop can backwards to make fun of a friend's post,
The image won't load for me, can someone explain this?
The image won't load for me, can someone explain this?
In a few words, he breaks his hand to hold a beer.
If you apologize for humor you're a huge pussy
The image won't load for me, can someone explain this?
Dai is a demon.
I dont see the issue, this card comes up all the time when I play with friends, some of them are trans, and so am I. The entire point of this game is to make ludicrous shocking statements that are basically counter-culture in some hilarious sense.
Someone got offended by an offensive card game? Stop the presses!!!
both sides involved apologising
what an outrage
Waaaaaah! This dude's too sensitive. He'd probably get pissed at a South Park episode.
i wish i could slap every overly sensitive special snowflake in existence no fun allowed
cheers
does it hurt breaking every bone in your hand i mean
The anti-transphobia crusade it fucking ridiculous. People get way too offended, way too easily anymore. It's ok to mock cultures, religions and races, but even so much as brushing against the proverbial LGBT cat and you get your goddamn face mauled off by it. If people wouldn't get so buttbothered so often, it'd be a much happier place.
the circlejerking in this thread is dumb as hell but so is this reaction to CAH. how is even news to begin with edit: o this fella apologized. good
"It's circlejerking if it doesn't coincides with my views and opinions." :downs:
I have to admit some of the cards in CAH have halted my laughter a little when they applied to me, but I'm not going to remove them. It's all in good fun.
I love these threads because it always starts with one person upset at one company, they overreact, the company apologizes, the person apologizes for overreacting, and both come to an amicable compromise. The company saves face and does some good at the same time, the person's concerns are addressed, everyone involved walks away wiser. Then dozens of "anti-political correctness" kids show up and display a level of offense and outrage that absolutely dwarfs any of the offense or outrage at the start.
So... Who would you be?
A person not aware of the whole thing until page 4, evidently. [editline]24th June 2014[/editline]
I don't see how "transvestite" could be considered a slur while "cross-dresser" is fine. It's almost just a literal Latin translation for cross-dresser. Tranny, on the other hand, is clearly a bastardization of the term and it's pretty obvious how that can come to mean something hateful.
It can be a slur because people use it to denigrate transgender people as just being crossdressers, as though to say that transgender isn't a real thing. The original meaning of the word has never been lost, it's very much being used in a hurtful, but literal, way.
Why buy CaH when Apples to Apples is pretty much the family friendly version?
Do they honestly expect to not get offended somehow by playing CaH? It's a game where you get with rowdy family or friends, you get drunk, and you have a good time. They shouldn't be apologizing, this game is funny as shit when you're wasted.

I mean shit, SJW's latch on to anything that is most popular so they can be the center of the universe.
Why buy CaH when Apples to Apples is pretty much the family friendly version?
why would you want to be family friendly with your friends thats like saying you should buy Noahs Ark 3D over Wolfenstien because Noah's Ark 3D is family friendly
why would you want to be family friendly with your friends thats like saying you should buy Noahs Ark 3D over Wolfenstien because Noah's Ark 3D is family friendly
My interpretation of his post was, "Why would a person who is going to get offended over CaH cards not just buy Apples to Apples instead?
Couldn't crossdresser be just as much a slur, then?
If meant to refer disparagingly to transgender people, yeah.
Couldn't crossdresser be just as much a slur, then?
Probably, but I've never really seen it used as one. No clue why people latched onto "transvestite" as their go-to insult.
I think it's surprising how some crap on Tumblr can get on BBC.
Seriously, why did he even buy the game? Is he some kind of moron
Obviously he's a horrible person and he thought the tagline was serious.
Now we wait for more cards to be pulled because some uppity Tumblr asshole got offended by a card mocking gay people.
I think it's surprising how some crap on Tumblr can get on BBC.
The wonders of social networking.
If you apologize for humor you're a huge pussy
It really depends, I thought it was stupid for the company to apologise in this case since that's pretty much what the whole game is about (distasteful jokes). But if it was an individual that told a distasteful joke and the people they're telling it to didn't like it, then it would be nice to apologise and not tell jokes like that to those people in the future. (I've done this before)
