It actually looks pretty cool on that shot.
Just put a huge logo on top and you have the HQ of an evil megacorporation (+ the declining city around it)
Megacorporation in a communist dictatorship.
Never going to happen, mate.
But knowing NK, they'll probably shove some propaganda on it if the do such a thing.

Uh, petrochina and Sinopec?
Uh, petrochina and Sinopec?
China is capitalist in practice.
Well then of course there will never be megacorporations in communist dictatorships, because if it's a dictatorship it's not really communist.
Could they not of found a more gloomy picture?
actually a egyptian cell phone network was financeing this, theyre using it as a 3G tower
It's lopsided.
It's the angle.

Looks like I got words mixed up again, because North Korea isn't really communist either. All references to Marxism-Leninism was removed from the constitution a while ago. It's socialism I'm actually talking about. All enterprise in North Korea is state-controlled except for the private marketplaces, but they're going to get rid of them sooner or later.

A 3G tower in a country where no one can afford a phone.
Even though it was started in the 80s, I bet it's the newest building there.

Yeah, they're Juche-ist (Don't use that one often), or more recently, following Son'gun (military first, essential).
If those private markets close, how will the DPRK military officers get their luxury goods?
:v:
How does this look ugly at all? It's surely more unique than our rectangular skyscrapers.
South Korea should build a tower as tall as Berj Khalifa right on the border.
40th tallest building with reportedly the fourth highest number of floors
I find this amusing considering that 4 is considered a unlucky number in Asian cultures.

It's centered around the idea of self reliance. So North Korea has gone full circle from communists to libertarians, basically.

I thought about it a while ago, but the fact that it has 3 wings at different angles makes it hard to plan out.
It looks like a cross-section of a mechanical pencil.
I would fucking love to have a Metro game set in NK, fucking running around inside that, watching out for muties.
actually a egyptian cell phone network was financeing this, theyre using it as a 3G tower
Orascom Group.
They own my cell phone provider, Wind Mobile.
i bet that the hotel is actually the tip of a 20 km tall walking monolith of death.
Naw man, its a giant nuclear missile.
It's screaming for a terrorist attack. :colbert:
Complete with state of the art Packard Bell 486's in every room!
looks very archaic
ugly steel monolith

All of the other buildings look like parking garages from the soviet union
I bet it'd collapse spectacularly if someone so much as sneezed on a wall inside it.
Reminds me of tron
"Earlier this year the regime announced it would shut universities for 10 months and send students to work in factories, agriculture and the construction sector to help rebuild its economy by 2012."
what the fucking jesus
