Your essentially sentencing someone to death or a very miserably life for the killing of the animal. How ever shitty it may be, I think ruining this guys life over it is outrageous. [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] Really people are more upset over this than when ISIS drowns people and films it.
"Ok so we both know you committed a crime, but the punishment isn't all that nice so we'll just pretend it never happened".
"Ok so we both know you committed a crime, but the punishment isn't all that nice so we'll just pretend it never happened".
The punishment doesn't fit the crime. It's not a difficult concept.
10 years for killing a lion illegally? I think it fits perfectly well.
10 years in abysmal conditions where he is likely not to survive? [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] 10 years is a very long time for killing an animal, regardless of what it was
10 years in abysmal conditions where he is likely not to survive?
Source on this? Also, big game hunting needs to be regulated carefully and thus the laws on it are super strict. Or you know, shit like this happen. [editline]2nd August 2015[/editline] But then again, why his guides took him to a national park where hunting isn't permitted is way beyond me.

Sanitary conditions are awful. Prisons die of starvation and disease. Wishing that on this guy just because he killed a well known lion is awful. You can legally hunt lions in Africa given the right situation, he didn't do anything unfounded by killing a lion. Yes, it was illegal, but apparently he was being deceived by the guides.
10 years for killing a lion illegally? I think it fits perfectly well.
People who kill people have gotten less time than that 10 years is an outrageous sentence
Jericho lives [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CLZKMi-WsAAb9Ev.jpg:orig[/t] Apparently a case of mistaken identity, unfortunately another lion was shot dead though.
Mistaken Identity - Jericho is in fact alive and well and has adopted Cecil's cubs. We were given 3 separate confirmed reports last night that is was Jericho. We could not reach the research station in Hwange to verify if Jericho was indeed alive after they reported that they were receiving signal from his collar. We apologize for reporting that he had died but were confident that our sources were in fact correct. This was a case of mistaken identity, but a lion has in fact been killed...although we are relieved that it was not Jericho, we are not happy that yet another lion has been killed...
https://www.facebook.com/pages/ZCTF-Zimbabwe-Conservation-Task-Force/246013052094585?fref=nf
10 years in a prison of a shithole Zimbabwe is horrible. Give him 3-5 in a 1st world prison.
