By the way, great news if Romney happens to lose: the Republican party will shift further to the right in the dumb belief that maybe Santorum could have won against Obama, alienating themselves from even more voters though if Romney wins that would make the GOP more likely to stop serving the interests of Tea Partiers. It'd be better if Obama won though.
One can only hope
Wouldn't that violate American's Bill of Rights or whatever it's called. And cause a MASSIVE shitstorm that can only end in senseless bloodshed.
Does anyone else think its far too early for this kind of thing in America?
It's too damned late. No government should have religion as its basis on any level.
I love how us americans shit our pants when a center right party moves a tiny bit left.
Yep, just heard my mom's Conservative talk-radio. First thing I hear, "The Democrats have dropped 'God' from the platform! The Democrats are a Godless people!" This was so damn predictable it's actually sad.
I love how us americans shit our pants when a center right party moves a tiny bit left.
Well, at least some of us shit our pants.
People can bitch, it's the right choice in the end.
Surely in a secular state with separation of the church and state political parties shouldn't be allowed to mention god at all.

This just in DNC just re-added God and Jerusalem to the party platform. Article will be posted as soon as it's avaiable.
What's your source?
Fox News Live Edit: CNN now reporting in: http://politicslive.cnn.com/Event/2012_Conventions_live_blog
What a pity, it would be nice if at least one party was willing to acknowledge the millions of Americans who are not religious, but I guess that would just be too radical.
Or maybe they just want to attract more voters? Then, once Obama's re-elected, 'God' can be dropped again.
the people on Fox's "The Five" are trying to figure out why they decided they had to do this. One guess being because of the interview on the station the other day.
thanks for the update glabe
whatever happened to separation of church and state? I don't know why everyone cares about the use of 'God'. It's not like Obama is the space pope or anything
Or maybe they just want to attract more voters? Then, once Obama's re-elected, 'God' can be dropped again.
Adding things like that in the middle of the convention will only hurt them. At least they didn't have them at first and the israel part was split down the middle on changing it. (which means they should have left it as is) but that's just me being biased. The people responsible for the changes are idiots.
