You can just look through your phone right? I made a cardboard tube thing that I'll stick my phone at the end of.
Was pretty cloudy here in the Midlands this morning, but it's cleared up nicely for the eclipse. Feel like its been ages since I Last saw an eclipse
apparently it's happening right now. but it's still cloudy in Lebanon. Can anyone see it?
There is a observatory in Germany that live streams its view.

It is clear skies here but I don't have proper glasses to view it myself. :(
Another stream from Slooh Observatory, with some commentary and guests, they also show other live feeds from different places.

Goat ready to be sacrificed.
I'm really looking forward to this though, I am getting my pilot friend to take pictures for me above the clouds.
What a fucking surprise, it's overcast here.
"A solar eclipse is happening!"
Quick, start killing wildlife in hopes of getting hero's broken sword!
About to head off to the roof of the physics department where they're giving out protective glasses to watch it with and a free breakfast :D
I just hope this weird mist fucks off some time soon
is it supposed to get dark or something? clear skies here in the southwest, been up all night waiting for this eclipse, to the naked eye its just another day right now but my friend took a photo of some misty shit

Nice
It's cloudy as fuck here but you can actually see it trough them, amazing.
holy fuck
i found an incredibly dark-purple glass and held it to my eye and it let me look at the sun without burning it (with moderation obviously) and holy shit that was cool, the birds are going strangely quiet and the sky has a sudden dark tone to it, this is amazing
Its cloudy as fuck here (so I am watching the BBC coverage..) but its starting to get dark. Its a shame, the one in 1999 was awesome to witness.
Here's hoping that 2026 will be less cloudy!
Have a photo straight from Portugal, before it went cloudy like a motherfucker 10 mins before the peak.

Seen it now. too bad I do not have those special glasses. I am using a very dark tinted glass. You shouldn't use those, but I couldn't get anything else that fast. :v:
Clear sky :quagmire:
I'm using a welding mask, it's pretty cool preparing to go blind though
I'm just using a welder's mask.
The last time I saw a full eclipse was in 1999 in Hungary, it's an out of this world experience.

Wow Thomo ninja much?
Too bad there wasn't a post about this eclipse like a day before it would happend and not 1 hour prior to it actually happening.
half an hour until it's fully covered over here
clear sky
but i have nothing to look at it with, fuck
Been using a welding mask as well. Prepare to be blind, boys.
I also have a welding mask. It's the best thing for it, honestly. Well, until it covers most of the sun and it's safe to look at normally.
Coming over here in like 20 min(sweden)
I'm using a fucking bin bag. It's pretty shit but at least I won't go blind

Its only "safe" to look at a total eclipse very very briefly during totality. The second any of the sun starts to leak through it becomes dangerous.
I will probably see it through heavily covered blinds.
Guys you can use 2 burnable CDs to look through, place them over each other.
Also It's cloudy as fuck.
I'll be a man and look at it without ANY protection!
My friends and family will report how long it took me to go blind.
Yep, I can see literally nothing but grey cloud :v:
