The islamaphobia didn't rear it's head till post 9 and facepunch didn't favor it at all. The majority of posts are bashing the culture and sentencing. Sure, it's silly to think that islam is what made this good guy turn evil, but it's also silly to think that Islam plays no role in this situation. The misogynistic culture and laws in Saudi Arabia seem deeply rooted in Islam, and I don't know why people want to leave religion blameless. Surely there has to be a connection with teaching children that women are basically property and having adults treating women inhumanely.

This makes me fucking sick to my stomach. All I have to say.
